I previously never thought to get a breast...

I previously never thought to get a breast enhancement, but since my wonderful ole' boyfriend suggested it casually, I thought, hmm, why not? So scouring the Internet and looking at the before and after pictures, I noticed how beautiful bodies can be with some voluptuosity added to the frame. After lots of research and discussion with a friend who has had the procedure done, a consultation was made with a great surgeon and operation date set in 2 weeks! Eek! I wanted it done so I had plenty of time (weeks) to recover before going back to work. I sent over lots and lots of pictures to the office and boob envy seemed to get the best of me (seem to be seeing that term around lately) and I thought that for my petite frame and having a major surgery that I should just go all out as much as possible without being ridiculous for my profession. I decided I wanted 375cc but somehow in our discussions I did not tell her that. After surgery I was informed my surgeon decided on 350cc. Unfortunately, there was not direct communication as to what size I was leaning towards and was only able to verbalize to her question "how big?" By saying full C/D, but more towards a D. We were supposed to go over the photos together on screens in the operation room before the surgery but the nurses and anesthesiologist put my out before I saw my Dr. come in. Before I knew it, I was up in the recovery room, whisked to the car by the BF, drove an hour home, sleeping all the way, then sleeping for about two more days in and out. I did not experience nausea, but did feel lots of pressure on my chest for two days. I felt like I had to do shallow breathing or else it would be painful. But deep breaths now and then did release blood flow to calm my tense head. Feet flexes also help with blood flow.

As for size of my breasts, in the compression bra, the circumference seems sizable and probably a "D" cup, but I'm wondering if that is due to swelling. Although I have complete faith in my surgeon to use the pictures I showed her (20 of them - all with very similar attributes) I was hoping to discuss the idiosyncrasy of what I wanted - which was the more D side. Oh well. This may be due to my not knowing what questions to ask in surgery vernacular. Results soon to come after the drop and fluff (whatever that is).

Thank you, recovery is actually easy so far, probably due to a good med regimen and diet. Hope to see these bad boys as they will truly look soon. Waiting game is the hardest.

you are nearly the same height/weight as me. i also went with 350cc UHP. Doc said 375 was the biggest. I was set on 350 until the morning of the surgery and decided go big or go home and asked for the 375. The only problem was they didn't have any available on such short notice and ended up with the 350's. I'm super excited because they look great and I think they will be full C, if not a D.

yours look great btw, i think you're gonna like 'em just as much as I like mine so far.

just wating to soften/fluff up.

boobies!

Thank you for your info and kind words. In reading about 350 vs 375, I've gathered that it physically does not make that much of a difference, plus this is dependent on your existing breast tissue. I'm so happy to hear that you are enjoying yours so far! Share as they "drop" =)

Next day pensiveness

I don't think I made it clear in my previous post about how I was not informed about exactly what size I was getting before the surgery and also that I had uploaded 20 photos, hoping to actually review it in the operating room before the procedure - which was repeatedly told to me by several office staff members that it would be the - quote- "fun time to decide". Now, I am giving my doctor the benefit of the doubt in terms in that I had shown her photos in previous consultations, but in 5 minute or less discussions, but had changed my preferences since! The day of the surgery, she asked me what cup size I wanted (which from online suggestions should not be a goal in itself anyways) and, honestly, I didn't know! I tentatively asked "what are the options?" And she said full C, D, DD. I said, I guess full C, but probably more D. From my understanding I should not have been focused on cup size rather than to show photos of goal size - be it ones showing too small or too large and then was hoping for discussions of what implant size may be best for my body. I was initially thinking "natural" going into getting implants, but then as I began to browse around, I had my heart set on more of the larger size for my body with a good projection.

I felt that I may not have been forward enough and not informed about the process of when I would discuss exactly what will be going into my body - first thing I thought of when I woke up was - what size did she put in?!?! And then come to find out that it was Sientra and not Mentor - which was what all the brochure they gave me, I feel a bit unsettled. And after reading about Sientra, only for board certified surgeons, it was a plus.

I don't doubt that I will have great results, but I am the kind of person who likes to be completely informed before making a $7000 decision that my wonderful boyfriend is gifting me. I can make my breasts look great in bras, but it's more about when I'm standing in front of the mirror in my natural state that I want to admire.

Surgeons on this forum would say talk to my doctor and ask what her thinking may have been, then wait 6 months to a year to see how they actually drop and settle.

I just wish I would have been able to communicate to her that I wanted 375cc-400cc rather than 350cc before it was stuffed in my body without my approval.

Other than that, I barely have any pain on my third day - thanks meds, veggie/fruit smoothies, pedialyte and Gatorade. A bit of chocolate here and there.

I don't want to be the person who thinks I should have gone bigger, when bigger was what I wanted in the first place.

This would be my first time actually comparing the pre-post to post-op pictures. Also, I will be adding "goal" photos which I did not get a chance to discuss with my dr. before surgery. I was told these and my other goal photos were on screens in the operating room- which I did not see or get to discuss with her. Hmmmmm, will I have similar results??

You look great for being so early post op. Give yourself several weeks before you judge your results. I have heard wonderful things about Sientra implants. Congratulations and keep us posted!
