Your smile is beautiful had mine done on July 13th of this year still some discomfort in some areas but I love love love my new smile
October 24, 2015
This is normal. At least it was for me. A lot of it is getting used to them. Once the permanents where installed, there was a little getting used to them too but it didn't take long. Where and what does your discomfort feel like?
October 25, 2015
Just a lot of aching were the post are some days and a lot of throbbing but not all the time but I know it's takes time to heal after all it was major surgery .. Thank You For Responding

My pleasure Donna! I can only give you my experience of course, but what you are describing is what I had also. I seemed to get quite a bit of relief from using an electric toothbrush such as sonicare and a water flosser, (good quality water pic). I take both with me when I go away even if it is for a night. Biotene PBF mouth rince is also very soothing. My phone number is posted here somewhere as well as my public and private page on Facebook. Please feel free to give me a call, friend me on facebook and we can keep in touch. 386-627-7703 ATTENTION Admin: My number is public record. No concerns there. :)

I''m just happy I can help. There is so little info on the internet. It helps to talk to someone who has gone through it! Thank you for your kind words!!!!

Mine seemed to ache a bit more in the rain! Sounds like healing, but as always, if you are concerned, give the Doc a quick call!

Beautiful smile :)
I thought veneers were the only option. I like the idea of permanent implants.
Do you mind to share the cost?
For future needs. I just got a TT and not ready for a close commitment right now .
I think aging with beautiful white teeth is making us look younger and healthier

I don't mind at all. I had 14 implants including 2 zygomatics all my teeth removed and teeth screwed in the same day. 45,500.00 and I gladly spent it. I just don't get a new car this year! LOL! I would rather have my beautiful functioning permanent teeth.

It is more than I thought, and I'll need a new vehicle soon lol so it will have to wait.
But the result is fabulous!!!
November 12, 2015
Thank you! I couldn't wait. No choice. I am happy to report that not only am I well again because of the implants I have financially recovered. Money is only temporary your health is your life!
April 13, 2016
Wow! You looking stunning.. Did your face change shape? Did go back to normal after the swelling? Can tell difference between when hitting into an apple or a piece of bread? Ty

Biting*
April 14, 2016
Thank you so much! Dr Kirkpatrick is extremely talented at what he does. They take so many measurements to make sure your facial structure stays the same. I had minimal swelling and no bruising. Actually I didn't eat apples, bread or corn on the cob because my natural teeth were so weak. I still don't like apples, but I can take a bite without a problem. The occasional bread hard roll or hot pretzel gives me no problem. The thing I eat a lot of now is corn ON the cob! YUMMY!!!!!!! Can't wait for the season to begin!!! No problems biting anything!

Just over a year update

orchidlover
Here is my update. I am just over a year from my surgery (6 months from my permanents being installed. Wow has life changed. I just had a check up/cleaning 2 days ago. Everything is well. I do not have pain and have the freedom to go out to dinner and order anything I want. I have taken a liking to fried chicken and corn on the cob. Two things that have been off limits for many years. I'm just loving my smile and am more confident than ever! I welcome your questions!

They look good! Will they always stay nice and white or do you have to periodically whiten them like regular teeth.
August 15, 2015
They will always stay white. I have periodic cleanings just like natural teeth but no whitening.

It is surgery. I had it done on a Thursday. I had pain that was managed with pain killers. By Sunday, my daughter took me to get my nails done! A couple of days of down time is surely worth a lifetime of eating what I want, smiling all the time and really enjoying life. How did you afford dental implants? Did you have dental insurance? If so, what insurance company did you have?
September 16, 2019
How long did you have to go with temporary ? Any bone grafting? Time length for the perm?

can you please post more information about the Dentist office. Is there a web page I can look at? How much was the initial consultation?
May 11, 2015
I'm not sure if it is against TOS to post a website, but here it is. www.newteethnow.com Dr. Kirkpatrick did it. I do not remember if there is a consultation fee. Please contact them for additional information.

Mine it was Charles Krikorian great dentist :) made me smile again :)
May 29, 2015
Good for you!!! Do dental implants feel strange...when you chew?
May 30, 2015
Yes in the beginning. You get used to them. I went right from my natural teeth or what was left of them to implants. I imagine if you have dentures already and then have implants, there would be less of an adjustment period.
July 30, 2015
