Today is the day! I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am going under local anesthesia so my recovery time should be less. I will post an update later today!

They are out! I already feel lighter and healthier! It was so easy!! I only had a Valium and local anesthesia. I feel great! My chest is tightly bound and has to be for 2 days. I get my stitches out on Tuesday.

congrats to you!! Mine were removed on the 11th. So delighted and think so far the results are better than I expected. Happy healing, don't do too much, listen to your body and rest.

I just had mine out on the 12th. I did under local too. The procedure went smoothly. Had trouble sleeping so I took a Valium last night which made all the difference. I tried to tough it out with just the Advil, but figured sleeping was important. The doc said make sure to sleep and take the Valium if you need it. Haven't had to take any of the Norco pain meds yet, so hopefully will not. How are you feeling day 2?

I feel great! I have not taken any pain meds either except for a Tylenol pm last night. They are a little sore at the incisions but that's it! How are you feeling?

Today is day 3 for me. I was under general due to the capsule removal and the one implant that was polyurethane .The 1st two days I needed norco's and tylenol, I didn't take the norco on a regular basis, just once in awhile. Yesterday I only took tylenol. Yesterday the drains came out and the itching has started. I'm in a soft supportive bra which feels much better than the wrap. I'm going to take my 1st shower today and will take pictures of my deflated boobies. I'm hoping for a visit from the fluffy fairly that I hear about. The left where the major capsule was is more deflated, the right also had a capsule with calcium deposits, just a thinner capsule so not as much tissue was removed. My tissue was sent to pathology per protocol so hopefully everything is fine. I've been going to a salon the last 2 days just to have my hair washed which has helped me feel more human. I feel so much better know the implants are gone, I like the look I have even if I really haven't seen them yet. Big boobs are over rated. Glad your doing well !

I am really happy with my result so far too! It was not shocking at all...just kind of "oh yeah, I'm back to my old self again." I agree, smaller bras are way cuter. I'm looking forward to buying some new tops too. All the best to you. :)

I was just trying on some tops this morning. Lordy, lordy I am flat as a pancake! LOL. I don't mind at all though. I tried on some old tops and they fit great. Once I get out of this sports bra and into a real bra I'm sure I will have a little more shape. I'm surprised at how easy it has been emotionally for me. many of the gals on here struggle with depression afterwards. I feel like my old self again and I'm fine with it. Day 4 feels better so far. How are you doing?

I am still in the wrap and the itching has started! I'm going to take a shower later and just wear s sports bra. I'm feeling great and no depressed feelings at all! I'm loving them!

I have had my saline implants since 1993. I was very young and wanted them so bad that nothing could have stopped me! I really have hated them ever since I got them! I have thought about removing them several times but never followed through with it. About 3 weeks ago, my left one ruptured and I knew it was time!
I had my consultation yesterday and my surgery is tomorrow Oct 13th. I cannot wait!!!!!!!

90-91, regretted as soon as I did it, kids were 7, same scenario. Had mine out 8/19. You must be at just a few days out? Hope you're doing well. How does local anesthesia differ?, my surgeon spent 3.5 hours, but took out implants, capsules, and 3 infected nodes on each side. I signed a consent for saline but at explant she found silicone, so I guess it was good I slept through that )):
