6 1/2 weeks PO
Hi all, I haven't posted on a while. Been getting back in the swing of things, my daily activities seem to take more time and energy still.
I had a couple spitting stitches at 5 weeks, so I drove 3 1/2 hours to have ps remove them, nownhealing fine. They were freaking me out, I don't have any real wound experience (fortunately). Things are healing nicely so my next appointment is in 3 weeks (9 weeks PO). Hopefully I can start BioCorneum silicone strips, but I think I might have one more stitch ready to spit. Grrr!!
I am walking completely straight and can even do a full body stretch with my hands above my head, which is heaven. I don't know if anyone else experienced involuntary muscle stretching during recovery, but it was crazy.
I am out of binder completely and just in spanx now. I am even going without spanx when just veggin' around.
My immune system isn't up to par, so I caught the 24 hour flu bug from the office Friday that included the worst body aches, headache I have experienced in years!! Oh and a cough, a bad cough. I took my nausea medicine I had leftover from surgery so I didn't vomit. I am so thankful to be as far along in healing as I am. I found if I squeezed/tightened my abs before the cough, and then wrapped my arms myself it wasn't too bad. I couldn't have used this technique earlier in recovery when your muscles are still hard and you can't move them. Laughing is still uncomfortable for me.
I walked 2 miles about 3 mph according to MapMyWalk App yesterday.
Anyway, happy healing everyone!!
Pictures are on next post, I kept getting an error message and losing everything I typed.

20 Days PO
I went back to work today. I was supposed to go back yesterday but chickened out. Anyway, I actually did much better than I expected. I am up and down alot at my job, man o man am I slow, I got slower and more bent over by then wnd of the day, it was kinda funny. I am definitely swollen, the most I have been for sure but less than I expected. I took 2 Tylenol about 10am because my tummy started getting tingly. I am now sitting in my recliner, just took a muscle relaxer and waiting for bedtime. I have a follow up with ps Friday.

I am very confident with Dr Burgess. So far, she and her staff have been awesome. Okay, I had my surgery and I love Dr Burgess even more. She is so kind and really cares about her patient. Her nurse Ashton is very attentive and has been very helpful when I call with my random questions. I would recommend Dr Burgess to anyone considering plastic surgery.
