Very thorough, professional, and pleasant demeanor. I saw an ad on Facebook for Dr. Mercado and contacted Eterna. They do Saturday consultations which is great if you have a normal weekday job. The office is small, but very nice. I went because I had a BBL in Miami back in February, and overall I am happy with my figure, but really need some touchup lipo and some sort of treatment for my loose skin and areas that developed fibrosis. Dr. Mercado was very thorough, addressed all my concerns, and spent almost an hour with me. We discussed each area I had concerns with, he marked me up, and took pictures. He explained his process and the most interesting thing is he uses no general anesthesia, only local. He explained how he would treat my areas of concern and said he would do a combo of vaser and bodyjet lipo, followed by J plasma to really tighten the skin. Honestly, I don’t have much fat to remove, so he said the canula would mostly be used to break up scar tissue and create channels for the j plasma treatment. J plasma is a helium that immediately tightens the skin from the inside and also stimulates collagen production, so skin will tighten even more over time. I want to do my upper arms, under arms/armpit fat inner thighs and knees, and abdomen just with J plasma. I did ask about getting fat transfer to my breasts and he was very honest with me and said I needed more of a lift, not a fat transfer. He also felt even if he did try I did not have enough fat to transfer nor would it give me the results I’m looking for. My total estimate was $7875. This includes all anesthesia, lipo, J plasma, garment, and follow ups. Only bloodwork isn’t included. The consult was great and I didn’t feel pressured at all. Jared told me to call back if I wanted to schedule a date and put my $1000 deposit. Dr. Mercado also only does one surgery a day, max 3 days a week. Even though he is more expensive than Miami doctors, I like this approach as he won’t be tired or rushing to get through 5-6 surgeries and he’ll be fresh for each procedure. I have not decided if I’m going through with it yet, just because it’s a lot of money. The J Plasma alone is $4500. I could just do lipo but if I’m going to do it, I might as well do everything at once for best results.
