Went to consultation in April and decided on Fleue de lis cut., also called an anchor cut, so fat will be taken from the mid and bottom parts of the stomach area After losing 100 pounds, even with exercising 3-4 hours a week, there is still skin that refuses to go away. This procedure will give me a fresh start now that my child bearing days are complete

3 days post op

I'm 3 days post op and feeling GREAT!!!! I had 7 pounds of skin removed and didn't have to have lips!!! He sprayed me with Exporel so that has helped with the pain tremendously. I've been on my pain Ned's like clock work to ensure I stay ahead of it. I haven't had a bowel movement yet but am taking stool softners twice a day. If nothing by tomorrow, I'm going to try a laxative. Just really afraid of getting constipated. I'm going to start weaning myself off the narcos because I think I can htolerate the pain with Ibruprofen alone and Valium for nighttime. Took my first shower last night which was great.i was very nervous about the water running over my incision and drain area, but all went wqell. It felt funny taking the binder off because it's really a big support for your stomach, but it felt good to get clean and then lotion my body down. I'm hoping things continue going as well as they are. Making sure I stay on top my protein because that helps with healing and drinking lots of water. So, just keeping my fingers crossed, prayers going and positivity on deck cause I'm loving my new stomach!!!

Im a little late, I just saw your check in, and posted a comment to you. Things sound like they are going well! Yay! I mentioned in the comment about being careful with the laxatives. Their onset is a little unpredictable sometimes, and with your mobility a little limited, and can be an unsettling feeling if you have to jump up and run to the bathroom. Getting off the narcs will help. So happy to hear you are doing well! Happy healing to you! We are here if you need us:)

Post Op Day 6

tandrus
My recovery is going absolutely FANTASIC! I’m completely off the narcos as of day 4. Today was the first day I actually drained my own drains and took a full shower. My husband haven doing everything for me but since he worked late today I figured why not try myself and it was a success!! My tummy is looking really good and the swelling isn’t too bad. My only complaint are the drain sites, sigh. They’re starting to become more and more irritated and unfortunately today my cycle decided to stay again after just finishing about two weeks ago. But that’s minor issues to deal with, I’m just super happy my pain is very minimal. I had 7 pounds removed and luckily I didn’t need Lipo which has been a blessing to the amount of pain I’ve experienced. Tomorrow is my first post op visit and I’m PRAYING the drains come out. I’m producing about 18-20 ccs per day as of the last two days an its starting to get pinkish in color which hear is an indication that they’re almost ready to come out...fingers crossed!! I’ve added some day 3 post op pics

Beautiful! Did you get to keep our belly button or did he make a new one? I'm having Fleur de lis next month and I have seen live procedures where some make new Bb and others where they keep the belly button you have!
