Well, I had my PS consultation this past Wednesday and it went surprising well, Dr. Delatte answered all my questions before I could even ask him, he was very personable, did a great job of making me feel comfortable, and his staff was amazing. So now the question is, is this worth it, should I go through with it? I have had rather large breast my entire life, and I think I'm ready to say good bye to them. So I guess the next step is figuring out how to pay for the sx (BCBS refuses). I'm a little nervous and to be honest scared. Hopefully the road to smaller boobs won't be too bumpy.

I do not mind at all,my surgeon removed 550 from my right breast and 545 from my left breast and I should be a c cup after all my swelling goes Down! My insurance required total 1000 c/c off of both breast ,very Important! But my breast were extremely heavy so I had alot of tissue and my breast were very dense also. I feel great so far ! Good luck to you!

I have bcbs too and they wouldn't pre certify my surgery. I covered what my doctor told me the insurance company would be paying up front so I could get an appointment for surgery. After the surgery they paid right away. The doctor told me they go by amount removed 500 grams. They took 1200gms from mine. What size are you currently?

A little over two months out

OK! I'm a little over two months out from my surgery. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to purchase prior to the surgery. I live alone so after about a wk I will be on my own. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm like to plan ahead and I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row.

Wow congrulations! I am 9 weeks post op and loving It! I feel great and no back, neck shoulder pain at all! I am actually alone also and I had a nurse come in for the first 8 days to take care of my drains/wound care and it was so worth It! I had my catsitter come in also to help with my 2 cats. My advice for you is do not do any lifting the FIRST 2 weeks and rest alot, very, very Important! I had such a great journey and healing process was great! AS FAR AS SUPPLIES ALOT OF GAUZE,GAUZE PADS and comfortable compression bra for the first couple of weeks,I still have to sleep in my at night only per my plastic surgeon till I go back for my 3 month check up. I order a extra one on line ,the one I was put into after my surgery and I love it! A very comfortable SPORTS bra, button down pajamas top, pillow under your seat belt on your way home from surgery, this was a godsend for me. Hope this helps and good luck to you!!

Thank you so much!! I have been struggling with the bra thing I can't decide which one to order. I have a feeling my two doxies aren't going to be very happy about by limitations. LOL
Thanks again!

Congrats! I'm 6 days postop and have had a pretty easy recovery. I posted a list of items in my review - see if that's helpful. The sports bras I've been liking most are under armour protegé. They zip in the front and are super supportive and snug and great.
