Like most teenagers, acne flareups seemed to be a constant battle and continued into my 20s. Finally, after numerous acne prescriptiin medications and creams, I finally decided to get on Accutane and finally get rid of my moderate acne breakouts. After a year of Accutane, my acne was finally under control and rarely had any further breakouts. One problem was solved, but I now faced a more heartbreaking reality. The years and battle with acne was apparent on my face. I had mostly boxscars located on the vast majority of face. I was devestated. Once a pretty girl, I now had a hard time looking in the mirror without tearing up. Before consulting with Dr. Duplechain and his staff, I tried chemical peels and injectable fillers; however, there was little to no change of acne scars. It wasn't until I consulted with Dr. Duplechain that things began to change and definitely for the better. In July of 2017, I underwent an subcision with fat transfer and deep CO2 laser surgery. The results were absolutely AMAZING. My acne scars are so much softer and barely visible. To further address more stubborn acne scars, Dr. Duplechain performed another deep CO2 and active laser procedure in March of 2018. Almost a month later, I cannot express enough how happy I am with the results. My scars are responding well and are even more less noticeable than ever before. I will continue to consult with Dr. Duplechain to continue to treatment for my scars. For me, my results from a highly skilled practitioner has been Godsend in my life. I can now look in the mirror and see "ME", not my acne scars.
