Hi all! I just had 400cc sub pec memory gel...

Hi all! I just had 400cc sub pec memory gel implants removed on 3/24/16. Been meaning to post for the past month but never got around to it. So I'll start with a lil history. Had implants placed 9 yrs ago, kind of on a whim. I was never into implants but decided I wanted them and a month later they were in. Went from a B to a full C. They looked pretty cute but after having 2 kids and breastfeeding, they went to a DDD/F and I felt so insecure. So after 4 yrs of disliking them, they're out! I'll post next about the actual procedure.

Explant day 1 pics/procedure

Ok, so here's an update on the actual procedure along with some pics as promised. I read some positive reviews about Dr. Doezie on this site so decided to schedule a consult with him in early March. I knew immediately after meeting him that I was going to have my explant done with him. He didn't try to persuade me to get smaller implants or a lift. He offered the option of local anesthesia in his office or general at a surgery site or hospital. He had great bedside manner and we spent quite awhile chatting, he never made me feel rushed. Before leaving the consultation, I had booked my explant date for March 24th with just local anesthesia. That's how sure I was!
Fast forward to March 24th, I showed up at 10:30 as scheduled. (I was told I didn't need to do or bring anything to prep). They took me right back to a small procedure room and got started. I didn't take any pre meds, I will say though, if you're at all queasy you may want an anti-anxiety med beforehand. I'm an RN and work quite a bit in the OR so I was fine without it, but I could some people having a hard time dealing with being wide awake without any meds. Anyhow, it was just the PS and his assistants in the room. I laid on a table and they put drapes around my breasts and cleaned them with betadine. Then I received the local anesthesia, which was just a bit uncomfortable but not bad at all. Then they started making the incision (he also used a cauterizer) to make a small incision under the breast fold, then a few squeezes and out came the implant! He mentioned stitching up the capsule as something he always does to prevent a seroma, then stitched up the incision. He then did the other side. I would say it took an hour max? His assistant wrapped me up in gauze and I was on my way! No drains, which he said he rarely uses. He also said I could shower right away since he covered the stitches with tegaderm. He also said I could get back to normal activities right away.
The first night the incisions felt sore so I took some Tylenol. Hubby was around to help with the kiddos (1 &3) Second & third day it was more of a muscle soreness, so I also took Tylenol. Today is day 4 and I feel great! No pain meds needed, just some itching around the stitches. Tomorrow is my first day back to work and I feel more than ready. Let me know if there are any details I'm missing in my update. I'll post some pics. I am super happy with my results so far! I have follow up in a week. Oh and I've been keeping the ace compression on basically 24/7. During the day I wear a sports bra on top of it as well.

8 days post explant!

Here are some pics from today. Just 8 days post explant and I've already noticed some slight retraction. Sooo happy I went through with the procedure!
