Very Satisfied with Outcome

I decided to get the procedure in my 50th year. More for comfort reasons than anything else, but the improved appearance is a definite plus. I was nervous before the initial appointment but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a female nurse accompany me throughout my examination with the doctor. Everything was explained clearly and they booked me in. I had the trim procedure mainly for the decreased downtime and potential for complications. The actual operation took longer than I was expecting - approximately 2 hours. It was not painful at all, but I would recommend taking your phone or a book to read to pass the time. Directly after I felt fine. I had ice and anaesthetic to keep me numb as I stayed in the recovery room for an hour or so. By the time I got home I was very tired and felt weak. I spent the rest of the day lying down. My vulvar was very tender and swollen. I could not sit down at all for about 48 hours. I would say it took 4 days to feel like going to the shops, or that driving was a possibility. I went back to work 10 days after the procedure with no issues, but I would not have been able to manage it before then. I’m 6 weeks out now - pain free, wearing tight jeans and feel completely healed. Very happy with the outcome
