Excited to hear that you have decided to take the plunge! So glad to also hear that you will document the journey... It willl be so helpful to many women considering this procedure. As a surgeon, I am so thankful that are people like you who are willing to do this to help others. Thank you!

Please read my review first.. you are perfect as you are. They will cut your previous nerves off an you may regret, complications rate is very high, read all the negative reviews on here, so many girls lives are ruined by this surgery. Scars will look terrible, and unnatural, and nerve damage is very real!!! They cut pudental branches when resecting labial tissue, your body may react unpredictably, like mine did. Please think and research more..

I’ve read the review thank you. It’s unfortunate what you’ve gone through and I’m sorry you had complications. I am a trained nurse and have pretty good knowledge about the female anatomy and reproductive system. Complications are quite rare actually and it is a low percentage. I understand it is a complication but the picture you posted every nerve is “blown up” so you can accurately see all the nerves. The nerves in the area are actually quite small and the larger nerves that would create the most damage are much deeper rooted. I’ve done my research quite extensively for many many years. If you look on this website and read more women have no complications vs the women who have HD complications. I’m going to a very skilled gynaecologist who specializes in in gyno work so has trained extensively to female anatomy - including the nerves in the area. He isn’t a plastic surgeon with very little knowledge about the women’s reproductive system. He does more than Labiaplasty procedures he does everything in that area. Treats medical conditions of the area and other surgeries related to female reproductive health as well as cancers, birth controls, abnormalities that include endometriosis and such. Thank you for your concern but you also don’t know what I’ve been through in my life and stating “you are perfect as you are” is silly because I’m not only doing this for appearance I also experience a ton of pain and infections related to the excess labia. I’ve seen you comment this same thing on many peoples posts and the majority of us have done the research and understand there is risks - like any surgery - and it comes across as trying to scare people out of doing something which is very negative and unwelcome here. Like I said, thanks for the concern but im a big girl and I know what I’m doing and the fear pushing is unnecessary.

Yes the pictures on my review are just a guidance to show that pudental branches extend to labia minora, but in fact they are invisible, even your best ever gyno surgeon will not be able to see them. One severed tiny branch is enough to trigger bigger nerves, thats what happened to me, and my LP was not even aggressive, in some women branches extend to labial edges, but surgeons cannot see them when cutting. You are wrong to think that complications are rare, they happen all the time, I have been in touch with too many damaged women, even those who went to the best surgeons. It's a pure gamble, and remember, this surgery is not like "any surgery with risks", this is your sex organ being cut. All nurses seem to think surgeons are gods, well, they are not, good luck to you, big girl.

I’ve read every question you’ve posted as well as have read every reply. Every doctor has questioned you because anatomically speaking - it doesn’t make sense. Maybe you should seek out a 2nd and 3rd opinion from a real doctor. I’ve done my research. I’ll be okay thanks.

I was diagnosed in the best centre in Australia by 2 leading drs in this field, including professor of gynaecology, my diagnosis is correct and my pain dr is a gyno pelvic surgeon, he sees many women like me damaged by this surgery. He said as a gyno, he would never cut labia, due to complex nerve map, he is appalled this is legal and happening. Drs on his site PROMOTE this procedure, a lot of money easy peasy job for them, can’t you see the pattern? If you read them all you saw a couple of answers by other gyno surgeons who confirm that such complication is very possible. There are a few other girls on here with the same outcome, but drs respond in denial, because if they admit it, none of us will do this surgery. I am talking about a real disability here, on top of ruined sexual function. Nobody knows how labia sensors are distributed, only we women know. All I can say is my story I not a myth or some horror story, it’s a reality and unfortunately for many women. Labia is a part of our sex organ, things will never be the same

Many more women than not have no issues. I understand the nervous system. Nerves regenerate. You’re constantly on this website posting under girls reviews and continue to post your review with the over inflated nerve map. You did your job. You don’t need to push it down people’s throats. They will find it. It isn’t fair of you to push your opinion down people’s throats when you’re spreading a large amount of misinformation. If people do their research they will find your original review - you’ve obsessed about it at this point and you came to the wrong review. Now please don’t respond and just move on to the next girl because I’m not having this anymore. You’re riddled with misinformation and I’m not interested to hear your opinion further.

Labiaplasty Dr.Gerber

Surgerysearchingg
So today is October 4th 2018. I had mylabiaplasty today at 4pm. I originally was going to go with dr Jugenburg but I am from out of town (sask) and they refused to show any before/after pics until the day of my surgery so I decided to get it somewhere else. I decided on DR Gerber (gyno) because he obviously specializes in women’s health and especially in that area and does many labiaplasty procedures. The layout of his website was wonderful and his before and after pics are great. I’ve also checked google reviews and saw many great reviews related to the labiaplasty and a few I found on RealSelf as well.
Sooo I sat in the room and he started by prepping the area so he applied the drape and then washed the area, dried to area, then he marked where he would cut and asked if I was comfortable with the same - I was so we continued. He then injected the local anesthetic (which really sucks) feels like you’re getting 150million needles but you’re not - I’m a baby. He only injected the side he was using and left the other labia untouched (no point in poking it if it’ll wear off by the time you get to it)
I had a few extra folds in the sides of my labia so it took a bit longer. Dr. Gerber was great all the way through he was chatty and kept you distracted. He was very nice the entire time and kept you informed about what he was doing or what he would do next.
There were a few times (with both labia) that the local anesthetic wore off and I just explained I could feel in and he would re inject that area and was very patient with me.
Overall the entire procedure went from 4pm-7:30pm. He really does take his time and is definitely a perfectionist. He uses microscopic glasses machine thing haha to make sure every cut and every suture is exactly perfect. I have to go back on Tuesday October 9th to have my sutures removed (he removed sutures after 4-5 days so you don’t have the appearance of suture scars)
Today is post op day 0 technically since it’s only been 2 hours post procedure. I am hoping my swelling does not get worse because I am in a good amount of pain (I was given tramacet for pain relief)
I bought a drain bottle so that way when I urinate I can drizzle water @ the same time to prevent burning
My post op instructions : Vaseline before urinating and after. Vaseline after a shower. Basically Vaseline minimum 3x a day to prevent it drying out. Bactroban (antibiotic ointment) at bedtime
Keflex oral antibiotic 4x a day (started the day before the procedure.
Take it easy for 4 days. No sex for 6wks. No lower body excessive exercise for around 2-4 weeks post.
Those are just some. I’m excited to see the finished product. I look a mess so far with all the swelling and sutures
Overall would recommend him

Did you get your period during this time and if so how did you handle it?
November 9, 2018
Yes. I had it during my surgery (at the end of my period at this time) and then got it again to close to 4wk mark. I was already pretty healed so I just used tampons. My period is short and light but if it’s heavy at all I’d say pads with cleaning up a lot a lot because the tampon can pull out sutures if it gets caught and can rip skin open

Post op day 1

Surgerysearchingg
Last night trying to sleep was the worst. I was in the grossest amount of pain. Managed to tire my body out and finally fell asleep. It’s October 5th and I had my surgery yesterday. The pain isn’t anything close to as bad as it was yesterday, but I do have a lot of nausea today. I have started to bruise now and swell a bit more. Nervous to see what it’ll look like once swelling goes down
