I started out with what I thought were ugly, 7cm long (which is above normal length) discolored, grotesque, labia minora/inner vaginal lips.
I hated them!! They made me feel insecure during sexual activity, I had to pull my lips apart very frequently during sex to get a dick to fit in, I would be dry, the lips would cause friction and discomfort during sex, on top of embarrassment.
The skin surrounding my vaginal area near my labia would chaff, be dry and irritated, and I would experience a pinch in my panties. Tight fitting clothes would be uncomfortable sometimes because I could feel the labia lips sticking to the crease that brings your vagina & thighs together... Just ew.
Anyways.... I had my surgery march 3rd!!
But, unfortunately I developed a hematoma shortly after surgery on the darker, more swollen side of my labia, so they had to put me under anesthesia (again) a second time in the same day, to sew up the suture that popped open.. Which is why the swelling is much more apparent on the one side, compared to the other.
I'll be keeping you guys updated on how everything goes day by day. So far so good.
Minimal pain, but discomfort is definitely there.
I ice it every day to keep the swelling down, and I use a spray bottle with warm water every time I urinate & pat dry to keep fresh. Staying in bed is a must the first week after surgery, you don't want to compromise your results. Hydration is also key.. Be sure you're drinking plenty of fluids & eating healthily. Hope this helps!!

I can walk a lot better now, even though it’s only been a week & a day after surgery. I can bathe by sitting on a rubber donut in the tub, and I can shower normally too. I eat in bed. It takes a while for anesthesia affects to wear off... so that’s probably why I have been quite dizzy upon standing. Also, I quit taking my antidepressants, so withdrawal symptoms such as the dizziness & muscle pain have taken affect as well, since I can’t take the hydrocodone that I was prescribed prior to surgery, with my Lexapro.
Oh... coughing, laughing & sneezing all hurt by the way, LOL. It’s like you don’t want to sneeze at all... in fear of busting your stitches wide open or something. But that’s not gonna happen, trust me! Itchy noses are the WORST lol!!
I haven’t had much of an appetite lately... since I’m highly anxious & waiting for the final results.
I’m hoping I heal beautifully, I don’t want the dreaded “scalloped edge.” I wonder how different sex will feel without the “curtains” there anymore. Will it hurt? Will I feel anything at all? Will I be even more pleased? Who knows at the moment. I’ll keep you guys updated day by day!

My doc said I couldn't take a bath, pool, or sit in water for 4-6 weeks. I was scared I would pop a stitch coughing ans sneezing. I held my legs together...lol

A week and 2 days : Period came.

I was lightheaded. Faint. Dizzy. Idk when these symptoms will subside!! I thought my neo-vag would be in more pain— but in reality it’s the lightheadedness that gets me. I don’t even need pain pills/ibuprofen anymore. I just use Dermoplast (an anti pain itch & burn spray).
I also use an antibiotic ointment, containing bacitracin.

How are you doing on your period? Do you see a pad? Does it hurt?

I'm doing fine, I can bathe & shower quite easily now. Period wise, I'm just going about everything as normal, still using the spray bottle during each BR break to clean out the blood/urine, and also using the spray bottle while bathing. I use a pad, yes! Tampons are a big NO NO until you're completely healed (at least 6 weeks). No, my vagina doesn't hurt anymore... and to cope with the lightheadedness I felt, I just ate 3 oranges (or a fruit of your choice) & drank a bunch of water.
