I just had my labiaplasty procedure a couple of days ago. I am posting day by day pictures so that anyone thinking about this surgery can follow along and decide if it is something they want. I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time as my elongated labia minora have been bothersome to me for years w/ certain clothing, intimately, etc. The first thing I wanna say is that I went conservative. I only wanted what was bothering me to be removed/refined. I did not want a complete overhaul of my vagina. With that being said, be prepared to take a minimum of five days off. I don’t believe anyone that says you can’t have it done on Friday and go back to work on Monday. There’s no possible way unless you are working from home and able to lay down/stand periodically while doing your job.

Day 3- Recovery

Still very bruised and swollen. Got a prescription called in for a UTI (maybe from catheter during surgery). Luckily my bowel movements are soft. My body posture is so guarded, I have been walking around with my butt clenched and stomach tight for the last four days LOL I have been icing a few times a day, taking Arnica, and cleaning myself with a portable bidet after using the restroom. I took a shower today finally and just let the warm soapy water run down my lady parts. Everything felt a little ‘raw’ and tender after that.

Recovery - Day 4

Not much has changed. Still cannot sit normally. Just lay around or stand. My tailbone, my back, and posture aren’t happy with me. Cannot wait to be able to sit erect. I had to drive somewhere this morning and took a memory foam pillow, but now I’m wishing I would have gotten one of those donut pillows to sit on. I go back to work tomorrow. Luckily, it is a four hour shift only and I stand at the whole time. I will have to take ibuprofen tomorrow because the pain meds make me really tired. The combination of pain med and UTI med makes me nauseous. Anyone that tells you you can do this on a Friday and go back to work on a Monday is definitely stretching the truth. The only way you could truly go back to work that soon is if you worked from home and could conduct your work while laying down.
