Recovery- Day 29 (Plus Front View)

MascaraGirl
WORTH IT$5,900
The itching is completely gone. I still have stitches that have not yet dissolved, the doctor said it will take up to six weeks. I still cannot wipe with normal toilet paper. I accidentally did the other day and pulled skin and it stung, I was so scared I ripped something, but everything looks fine. I can wipe lightly with a wet wipe though, but I’m still using my peri bottle and a soft cloth. Today, I included a photo of the front view. I’m happy that there’s nothing hanging, but have mixed feelings. My right labia has always been smaller, but I feel like it is SO small (now that things have calmed down), it almost looks like something is ‘missing’. I know it takes longer to heal, but I hope over time it will stretch a little with regular intercourse. It gives the illusion that my outer labia are extremely long, but in reality they’re actually quite small. I was very adamant with my surgeon to be extremely conservative. I did not want to alter the appearance of my vagina other than just the bothersome hanging skin. My biggest fear was over dissection/amputation leading to my lady parts looking like a ‘clam.’ I guess time will tell. It is changing daily, so I’m trying not to be too critical. I would have preferred both of them to be like the one on the right where there is still a moderate amount of lip remaining. It irks me a little that my piercing leans to my right side since I don’t have any inner labial support there anymore. Just trying to stay calm and wait for the final results since there is still stitching and light scar tissue that needs to soften. Wish me luck.

Day 22- Recovery

The past week I have an externally itchy like you would not believe. I had a doctors appointment and it turned out that my stitches were poking out in one of them was a little long which is irritating my clitoral frenulum. The doctor clipped those as short as possible. Feeling much better after that. He also said that my nerve endings healing can cause a tingly and itching feeling as well. I things feel pretty good. So far I am overall happy with the process. I am three weeks deep into healing. I have five weeks to go before I can be intimate. I am not currently dating anyone so I am perfectly OK with that. My inner labia are currently a tad short for my liking, but I know that once my stitches fully dissolve (doctor said up to 6 weeks), they will start to soften and ‘drop’ more. I’m hoping they look a little more even with my outer labia. I am not a big fan of the ‘clam’ type appearance, I like some ‘personality’ downstairs, if that makes sense.

Recovery - Day 14

Finally made it past the first two weeks! The bruising has subsided significantly. I have been very itchy the last few days in the clitoral area and outer labia. Trying to keep everything as clean as possible, I put a little bit of yeast infection cream on the itchy areas, as well as hydrocodone zone and it seems to help. If you look closely, you can see a little white lines, those are the stitches! They are very hard underneath my soft skin. I cannot wait for them to dissolve. I inspected everything in the mirror today and I am noticing that there are small raised bumps/skin lumps where the stitches are. I will bring this up to my doctor at my appointment next week. It’s hard to tell if they are caused by the stitches or if it’s the skin itself. Not sure if these will be temporary or permanent. I am walking more regular with my legs close together as opposed to walking with my feet shoulder length apart. I can finally sit normal now, but only on softer surfaces such as my driver seat, or a couch. Hard office chairs or any hard surfaces or still not comfortable. I am not taking any painkillers whatsoever or any medicine for that matter.

**Correction: the above was supposed to read hydrocortisone cream (not hydrocodone zone, lol).
