No More "Elephant Ears"!

Where do I begin?! Well, I guess I will start by saying that I typically don't leave reviews on anything but I was so pleased with my entire experience from start to finish with Dr. Reed and his office that I HAD to share! I have been wanting a Labiaplasty for quite some time now and have been researching a ton. When I saw that Dr. Reed was located close by and had so many years of experience working with women/their bodies, I knew I had to see him for a consultation. Once in the office, I felt comfortable and was greeted warmly and with a smile from Raechel (she mentioned that she normally would shake my hand but we can't do that right now :) but I still thought that was nice!). Next, I met Dr. Reed who came out to the waiting room HIMSELF to get me (that never happens, right?!). Right away he was friendly and even made me laugh - that helped me to relax even more. He was polite, professional but also personable. Although the exam is strange, (I don't think there is a way around that!), it was still neat and interesting to see my anatomy clearly up on the screen and he explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand and even told me things that I hadn't known about my own body which was nice. After meeting with Dr. Reed I spoke with Nicole (who I had spoken to on the phone and emailed many times before actually coming into the office - she is so experienced and full of helpful information, she even told me about her own surgery which I greatly appreciated and really helped me make my decision!) to go over my quote and I knew right away that I was ready to move forward so we booked my procedure for as soon as they could get me in which was about 2 weeks! I could not believe it was so fast but was so glad because I had already been waiting a long time! The booking process was easy, and Nicole made sure that I had everything I needed, and all my questions answered. The day of the procedure, right away they gave me some anti-anxiety medication which definitely helped calm my nerves and numbing cream to apply. The injections of the anesthetic were not bad at all. I was surprised but the procedure was fairly quick and easy actually. The best part of course was viewing my results when surgery was done - I was so freaking excited to see my new vag! :) It felt so good to look down and see what I always wanted, small lips! Yes, I swollen and has stitches everywhere, but I didn't care, it still looked beautiful to me!! The healing process was ok as well. I was warned about swelling and bruising and not to worry so I was fine with that. It started getting better every day after around day 4 or so (which they said would happen). I followed my instructions EXACTLY and now at about 3 1/2 weeks post-op I am beyond ecstatic with how everything has turned out - it's exactly what I imagined. I can't thank Dr. Reed enough!!
