I had my surgery with Bekir Sen in June, and it has been a disaster from the beginning.
My initial consultation with him lasted less than 5 minutes, and he did not take the time to understand the aesthetics and outcome that I wanted. This resulted in my labia being almost completely amputated.
What is left is a disjointed, lumpy mess. I had to push for a revision 3 months after the surgery due to the results giving me regular panic attacks. When I returned to Istanbul for the revision, I reiterated all of the concerns that I had already addressed with the coordinator over WhatsApp. I showed him the photos and bullet points of each of the issues that needed to be corrected, and he assured me that I would leave the clinic fully satisfied.
When I was able to look the next day after the revision, I quickly realised that not only had a number of issues not been fixed, I also had additional incisions and stitching in areas that had not been discussed that have now caused further complications. I immediately contacted the coordinator in distress to understand what had happened during the revision surgery. It has been almost 4 weeks, and I am yet to receive any answers or a follow up phone call with the surgeon despite repeated requests.
The results of the procedures that I had done in summary:
Labiaplasty - the labia has been mostly amputated, what labia is left is uneven, split and lumpy. Labia tissue was fused to the majora outside, which was supposed to be removed during the revision however there are still lumps remaining. The splits that were supposed to be corrected are still present after the revision as well as new splits that have formed.
Vaginoplasty - I cannot comment as I have not yet had PofV.
Perenioplasty - this has failed, the entrance to my vagina is lumpy, split, loose and gaping. For some reason he stitched all the way down to my anus during the revision which was not agreed to, however as this had already been stitched in the first surgery the new scar that has developed is thick and raised. In the first surgery he also stitched through a small skin tag, which then split into multiple skin tags as a result of the surgery. This has been confirmed by a doctor in the UK, who I had to pay £1600 to correct.
Labia majora fat transfer - the first round failed, resulting in a stretched out and saggy majora. He did a second round during the revision, the results of which I cannot comment on yet.
Laser labia lightening - this was done twice and I haven’t noticed any difference from it.
I welcome any efforts from the surgeon to reach out and resolve the matter, but unfortunately he has not done so and it has been 1 month since my revision.
