Labiaplasty and Hoodectomy

Just wanted to add some more photos of the healing process and what it was like the first few weeks. It looked amazing after 6 weeks so just be patient as I remember panicking myself thinking is this normal it looks so swollen, one side looks uneven to the other, but it’s all normal.

I am in my early 20s and my appearance of my vagina is something that I can remember bothering me from a young age of 13. I remember asking my mum are my bits normal? Everyone’s vaginas I have seen as I’ve grown up have seemed to perfect compared to mine and it’s something that really affected my mental health, I know everyone is different and people say I’m silly for thinking this way, but I just couldn’t stand the effect it was having on me anymore. Not only did I suffer with confidence issues, my labia was uncomfortable when having sex or not wearing any knickers, sometimes it would also get caught in my pants and it felt embarrassing to have to adjust. This is something very personal to me which I have only ever discussed with my mother and boyfriend, but it got to the point where I had to do something, I didn’t want to have sex and it was just always there, I felt like it was always dangling down and hated having my knickers off. I initially went to Transform and also MYA, I had heard of a top surgeon in the UK called Mofid Ibraheim, I had been told he was the vagina god and very much specialist in this area. After finding out he had left MYA I felt distraught and like I was never going to be able to get labia reduction with him. I had done a lot of research and only felt comfortable purely of reviews with going to him. Months went on and I continued my daily search about labiaplasty and had noticed he had set up a private website ( if anyone needs the link please ask ). I sent my enquiry and had a response within an hour from Mofid Ibraheim and my consultation was set up in Manchester, the day I met him he was very caring, professional and made me feel at ease when I told him my concerns and provided me with a diagram as to what he could do, I felt at ease and knew he was right for this. I booked in for surgery 6 weeks after my consultation in a hospital just out of Manchester. They made me feel really welcome and I felt at ease on the day. I had waited so long for this day and had no worries on the day. He came in to check me before and after the surgery, everything went well and I was able to go home within a few hours. I felt absolutely no pain the 1st day and even the morning after, I was given codeine and ibuprofen and a course of anti biotics for 7 days. I had a 3 hour journey home the next day which was fine, the worst part was feeling so tired from being put under. I had a quick look with my camera that evening and was shocked, amazed and so so happy I had made the decision, everything was neat and tidy, slightly swollen but I did not suffer from any bruising. I had the wedge method with dissolvable stitches, I was also told one of my labia was much thicker and a little longer then the other, but the stitches would dissolve into the natural folds of the vagina. I returned to work after a week off and did only wear tracksuit bottoms, it took me 3 weeks to wear jeans. I think day 3 was the worst for me, it felt painful more like a stinging sensation but it was bearable, I had no problems when going to the toilet and was worried about this at first, day by day my vagina changed and the swelling went down, I was told I would see results by 6 weeks and not to have sexual intercourse for 6 weeks or use any soap on the area for 2 weeks. I followed the aftercare and my surgeon checked in regularly to see how I was getting on. No matter how many questions I had he always came back to me. I am now fully healed and this was honestly the best decision I’ve made in my life, having sex for the first time after 6 weeks was fine, a little tight at first but wow the sensation was much better and I found it easier to orgasm as my clitoris had been unhooded slightly, another thing I am now able to do is not wear knickers, for example if I go to sleep I can now go to bed with it out it getting caught and it’s completely comfortable. I am so happy with the results and my only regret is not doing it younger, anyone who struggles with it like I did mentally and is considering doing it, please please do your research but it it’s 100% worth it and Mofid Ibraheim was amazing. I now have an amazing vagina and no longer have to struggle with the constant drain it was putting on my confidence and mental health.
