Being pregnant and breastfeeding two babies totally changed everything about my breasts. It took away what little I had in the first place. But even before getting pregnant, I was wearing VS's miraculous bra since it came out, so I haven't been happy with the size of my breasts for a long time. I finally decided to have a breast augmentation after baby number 2.
I began my search in April, and received a bunch of recommendations but did my own research as well. Dr Pousti has amazing reviews everywhere and is very highly rated. But first I met a doctor in La Jolla and everything he said went in one ear and out the other. I felt like I left with no information and a huge price. I had a consultation with Dr Pousti and as soon as I left, I thought, "that's my doctor". His office is so calm and absolutely everyone in there is so nice. Daisy helped me initially take a picture of my breasts and showed me what they would look like with the size implant I was interested in. I also tried sizes on. At first I was thinking 350 cc but then tried on 400 cc and fell in love! They explained everything to me. I barely had any questions at the end of my appointment.
After one more consultation with another doctor, I decided to go with Dr Pousti. At my pre-op, I brought in pictures to show what I liked and didn't like. We went over in detail pre-op and post-op instructions, and what it was that I really wanted. He has you choose from three options, describing how you want your breasts to look. I love that he has that and requests you to bring in pictures so that you're both on the same page about what you want.
Surgery was a breeze. I just woke up with a full chest! The first week was rough but luckily I had a lot of help with my kids over the weekend, so I was really able to just rest. My surgery was Friday June 3. Daisy called me on Saturday to see how I was doing, and Dr Pousti called me personally on Sunday to check in. His bedside manner is amazing! He truly cares about his patients. Daisy calls me almost of every day to check in and see how I'm doing.
I'm almost 3 weeks post-op and my breasts have dropped and are beginning to take shape, with the help of the massages I was instructed to do. I can't wait to see the final product and am counting down to my next appointment!
