I'm grateful every single day :-)

I am now over 3 months post-op, and I am so happy! My new boobs truly feel like a part of me, rather than some foreign implant. They have settled and are way softer than I thought they would be. Silicone implants are prety incredible...
but so is my doctor! :-) I have no restrictions as far as movement or exercise, though I do wear 2 sports bras when running now. No pain or discomfort, and my incisions don't bother me at all. I can even lay on my stomach for short periods of time (with an arm under my ribs). I wear a sports bras to sleep so they stay nice and in place for as many years as possible.
I bought my first "real bra" from Victoria's Secret about a month ago. They put me in a 32DDD!! The words "triple-D" blew my mind lol. I thought maybe their sizing was exaggerated, so I went to Macy's last week and tried on several different brands and sizes..34DD, 32DD, 34DDD...no success. In fact, finding a 32DDD in any store other than VS was impossible. It's funny thinking about how I had trouble finding bras that fit right before, and now I'm having trouble finding bras that fit at all. But I am certainly NOT complaining :-)
I also went bathing suit shopping. Well, I went bathing suit TOP shopping, to try and match bikini bottoms I bought last summer and hardly wore. I had some success with a "D" sized top at H&M, and athother top from Kohl's. So many bikinis tops are like push-up bras now so that's kind of annoying.
I just wanted to post an update since it's been a couple of months. I hope all you ladies are happy and healthy!

Photos I took last week, but didn't post

Here are some photos I took last week with Steri Strips still on, but after I finally got all of that stubborn ink off my body. That marker they use for surgery is no joke! Lol

Got my Steri Strips off today!

Haven't updated my story on here lately...I had a follow-up visit on February 10th, and they showed me how to start massaging my new additions. The massaging must have started breaking things up, because my left incision began draining a little the next day. Just barely (1 or 2 drops a day), but it was enough to stop me from wanting to post additional photos on here lol. I called my surgeon's office on Monday and they said it was perfectly normal.

I went in today and they removed my Steri Strips. My right breast is dropping a little faster than my left, but not to the point that it's terribly noticeable. My theory is that I use the muscles on my right side more than my left, so it's breaking things up quicker. But who knows if thats accurate. I plan to just massage the left one more than the right and hope they'll start evening out again.

When they took the Steri Strips off today, I was anticipating that the incisions would look like gaping wounds. So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that they are fine lines. My doctor said I should heal fine and end up with a great result. I'm already very happy with how they're healing.

I'm 3 weeks down the road and I still can't believe I have boobs now. It makes me happy every time I think about them :-) Defintly one of the best decisions I've ever made.

So, I finally decided I was going to get the breast augmentation I had considered for years. I began the search for my surgeon by Googling "plastic surgeons in SoCal" (I didn't know where else to start). There were several names of doctors and surgery centers that came up. But the name "Dr. Pousti" stood out, and sounded so familiar for some reason (turns out I have 2 friends who are also patients of his, and their breasts look AMAZING). I clicked on the link for his website and saw just how many before and after pictures there were, and was thrilled. I wanted a doctor with A LOT of experience, but I also wanted a doctor that I felt I could trust. I have never had surgery, never broken a bone, and never had stitches. I am putting a HUGE amount of confidence and faith into whoever I choose to perform my surgery. So it was EXTREMELY important to me that I find a doctor that I was comfortable with. I read such wonderful reviews and testimonials about Dr Pousti and the ladies who work in his office, and I can tell you first hand, all of them are true. They really make you feel like a priority. No question is overlooked or unanswered, or considered "dumb" (and I had a fairly long list of questions). Much of my consultation was spent with Cindy, who is absolutely amazing. She is so sweet, and really helped me envision the results I want. And seeing myself with different sized implants using the Vectra 3D imaging was really exciting. When I made my appointment for my consultation, I was already 99% sure that Dr Pousti was going to be my surgeon. After my consultation, I was 1,000% certain. This is the best way I can describe my decision in choosing Dr Pousti as my surgeon: I think there are some doctors out there, who's brains are so analytical, that their personalities can come accross as less-than-personable. Dr Pousti is NOT one of these doctors. It was encouraging to find that Dr Pousti is not only very experienced and knowledgeable, but that he really cares about his patients. He was more focused on making sure that I find the right doctor for me, rather than just trying to sell me on choosing him. My consultation was such a fun, positive experience, that I booked my surgery the next day when Cindy called to follow-up with me. I am now 5 days from my surgery date, and I can't wait to see my results :-)
