My motivation was a leg injury I got about seven...
WORTH IT$13,000
my motivation was a leg injury I got about seven years ago from a motor cycle pipe burn and I wanted to have the burn filled in with sone fat transfer taken from my waist and back area through liposuction well one thing led to another abd well over an hour consultation the doctor suggested that may not compete be satisfied with the Lipo results Unless I have a full tummy tuck. I was hoping to just get the lipo and Perhaps kill more than one birds with one stone. I had so many other issues with my stomach zipping up my skin and my jeans always feeling full and bloated I never thought this could be an answer to any of that So I decided that I would just take the plunge . After long hard thinking about it , several weeks and also contemplating A lot of research and keeping in mind The long recovery and the pain involved I decided I would bite the bullet and go for it . I can't believe I didn't do this 30 years ago, especially the tummy tuck part... I'm not a big woman I'm actually quite small and shapely but I was always worried about wearing anything too revealing or tight and I haven't worn a swimsuit in over 25 years. All that has changed and I'm excited to do things I haven't done in a long time... Now that I found a format to tell my experience I will post pictures and progress from the beginning until now.
I'll try to post better photos of my leg it's hard to see in the pictures before but I'm very pleased with what it looks like right now the doctor said it may need to have a little more fat transfer in about six months to make it perfect.... I'm not really looking for perfection and I don't really know where he'll get the fat from but I'm willing to take a look at it in six months however I'm so pleased with the tummy tuck and being that my age is 62 I thought it would be a lot more difficult time than It has i'll keep the updates coming in the photos. Don't get me wrong it has been a walk in the park and there are days that I just cried because I didn't have the results right away but six weeks To even a year in the span of my rest of life is not very long to recover.

Pain and itching 6 weeks
Good morning All,
A beautiful day in SanDiego i'm ready to get up and go to the San Diego fair an event I look forward to every year and going multiple times , however this year I haven't been able to go as much and stay as long.... Even though when I get there I feel okay I still just temper myself and make sure that I don't overdo it , however this morning I woke up with a specific pain in my upper abdomen right below my chest and itching on my legs where the lipo suction was performed. The pain is a grabbing sort of pain but not excruciating...I will wait a couple of hours to see if I just slept wrong and then decided on my fair going activities... Stay tuned...
on the next post I want to give you my suggestions regarding the plastic surgery comments and how you can work around them.

Little over 6 weeks PO
While posting a few pictures of my tummy first thing in the morning it feels flat and not swollen I also have picture of the scar I feel like it's coming along real well. You will see a couple of photos of my leg that was filled in due to a burn injury years ago and I feel pretty good about that too it's not perfect but it's very happy with it posting some pictures of my spider veins that were not there before the surgery and also a photograph of me when I'm bending over first thing in the morning I'm not sweating it all. Towards the middle of the day there's a couple of pictures of me in a full-length mirror and the swelling has returned to my lower belly. Feel a little discouraged today feel like I need to be feeling better than I am, I feel depressed and sad and have no idea why...I should be over the moon...does anyone else have these feelings and why? and then I read comments from other peoples journey and don't see much about the emotional side however This is been a great forum and very educational as well....

I am a social worker who has worked with patients post-plastic surgery . It is TOTALLY normal to get depressed about this time...you had all the build up, all the excitement, all the pain...and now you are impatient to see the results...run into people who don't recognize any changes...I had a blepharoscopy on my saggy eyes 3 years ago and people would stare at me, saying something is different...but never could identify what it was. Now I hope that they don't notice...but do notice...you know what I am saying. I am not telling anyone, but I doubt people will believe exercise alone brings the results I hope to have...when and if I get medically cleared! Hang in there, sister!

A lot of people say they get depressed after plastic surgery -- they wonder why they put themselves through this, was it really such a good idea etc...
but in the end, when they heal up, they feel much better and are glad they had the surgery. so you are pretty normal. just talk to your surgeon for reassurance and wait a few more weeks and you will be encouraged by your healing.

You look very good. But yes, I think everybody gets emotional now and then, including me. Last night I cried. I am 2 weeks po today and I still cannot walk very straight and everything is a huge effort. There is some bulge on the upper abdomen where there was none previously. I am going for a check up tomorrow, I am going to ask my ps. Also, my skin on the abdomen is terribly dry and I did not dare put anything on it. Normally, I have to slather myself top to bottom in lotions since my skin is so dry.

Hi there! Welcome to the community, and thanks for sharing your experience with us. You look fantastic! Do you have any tips you could share with others who haven't yet had their procedure? How did you cope with the pain?
Yes I did have a lot of pain intensely for about two weeks, I slept in a recline and a million pillows it seemed, and the pain medication was helpful...I did a lot of breathing.the doctors best suggestion was to stay ahead of the pain instead of taking the meds when I was in agony...this was the best advice. At first the Percocet made me nauseous and had to take meds for that but then about 3 weeks I lowerd my meds to the lowest strength of hydrocodone...not as strong.
The hardest hart of my recovery so far has been the lower back pain I have...Its getting better but it hurts worse that's my incision...I just told myself everyday that it will be a little better tomorrow...and that helped me not to be discouraged...I hope that helped
Thank you :) I love your tip on breathing through the pain! Your photos are great. I hope you're happy with your results.
