Still very swollen almost two weeks post op. Dr. Brahma is amazing and his staff are the nicest people to be around. I feel I got lucky when I got him as my doc. Follow up on Thursday nervous about swelling since I don't have drains they may have to use a catheter to get it out.

So happy to make it to to the flat side

So the Lipo pain is way more then expected but with meds it's manageable. I can't believe it when I look at myself in the mirror I'm just so happy and I know I have loads of swelling so i know it will get even better woohoo!

I know, right?! The lipo on my left side hurt SO bad. It made me cry the first night! It definitely gets better though!

That's good to know because dang this pain is out of control its so hard to get in and out of bed.

Yes, the first couple of days were the obviously the worst. If you have someone around to help you make sure you use them as much as possible for getting in and out of bed. And of course be sure to stay on top of your meds! I took the full amount allowed at first and was able to sleep through a lot of the first few days. Hope you get the pain under control soon!

Thank you for the advise yes I have my husband here and he sets his alarm to give me meds but I may start taking 2 every 4 hours because the pain is really bad.

That's exactly what I did. Not sure what your dosage is, but mine was 1-2 percocet every 4-6 hours as needed for pain, and I took 2 every 4 hours on the dot for the first 5 days. Staying on top of the pain is SO important. I then gradually stretched it out to 5 hours, then 6, then 1 pill instead of 2, etc. I'm now on day 7 post-op and all I'm taking is Tylenol and I feel great! Don't be afraid to take the max amount that your doctor prescribes!
March 9, 2016
Thank you I'm going to do that and see if it helps. The pain is so bad so I will definitely do this.
March 9, 2016
I had to ask Dr. B for stronger pain medication. Percocet just wasn't cutting it. Don't be afraid to speak up if your pain isn't adequately controlled.

Were you able to get your pain under control?
March 10, 2016
Funny you say that they prescribed me hydromorphone and I was scared to take it at first but wow a world of a difference. I can't even say how happy I am. Didn't you love all the staff there? They really made me feel comfortable in a scary time❤️
March 11, 2016
Weird that my comment was deleted. Yes, Dr. B's staff is the best! I sent the an edible arrangement post-op b/c they were all so wonderful! Glad you are feeling better!
March 11, 2016
How strange I wonder how it got deleted? I had blood clots last night in my drain scared the crap out of me but I called and they said it is normal. Now I'm bruised and swollen it feels like if I eat even just a little bit my belly gets big. So I'm doing protein shakes;) Jow are you feeling I can't believe how amazing you look your pretty much ready for Victoria's Secret runway

Pain is intense but so happy I did it

Readytodothisnow
So I still haven't seen my stomach without compression garment But my stomach is flat when I sit compared to a huge fat roll. My hub and said they took 6lbs off of stomach and two liters of fat with Lipo. Pain is worse then I imagined but pain meds are helping a lot. I have flow up today and will post more pics.

Happy healing, it takes time which we all hate hear at times. You look great

Welcome to the flat side! Take it easy and rest as much as possible. Interesting that they chose that particular CG for you. I was only given a binder. I'm sure there is a method to the madness. Can't wait to see your pics and how you progress. I'm still thrilled w/ my new tummy by Dr. B!
March 9, 2016
Thank you I'm so happy! They said it's because all the Lipo I got on my hips and back. I loved all the nurses and everyone there so so happy I did this!

hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I am scheduled for April 29th and find these really recent updates helpful. I am getting the drainless version and was wondering if that was even a consideration of yours? I hope you feel better soon. thank you !
March 10, 2016
How exciting that's right around the corner! No that was not a consideration for my surgeon or myself but every doctor has their way of doing things that work well for them. Honestly the drains don't bother me at all. Excited for you!
March 9, 2016
Thank you very much I know the pain won't be forever or the swelling but dang it hurts.
