Most Painful Experience of my Life

I used Kor Whitening Max, and I would never recommend this to anyone. I saw such minimal results from the first two weeks of at-home that Kor and my dentist said to use it for 2 more weeks. The sensitivity while using at home was mild (I was also using sensitive toothpaste), but so were the results. Using the trays is SUCH a pain. What a ridiculous and cheap system. I got very annoyed of having to follow the steps painstakingly every night and morning, which they emphasize a lot as being critical to it working. At the end of the 2 extra weeks, the results were still about what I'd expect from Crest Whitestrips—maybe less. No one close to me could tell a difference.

I was hopeful that the in-office whitening would help. Spoiler: It didn't. And it also led to one of the most painful 12 hours of my life. We did 3 treatments of gel in the office. The first was great. In the second, I was starting to get twinges and feel pain. In the third, I was screaming for the hygienist to take it off early while sweating in my chair from the most intense pain and zingers.

She took it off, and everything else is a blur because I was in such severe pain. I could barely drive home and had to call into work. I laid in bed with my head in the pillow for the rest of the day just trying not to throw up from how bad the pain was because I knew it would hurt my teeth. I almost took myself to the ER and probably should have. I couldn't talk, eat, or function until about 8 hours later. Then, the pain was still severe but manageable. I took a strong painkiller and by the next morning, the pain was mild.

It was a total waste of time and money, and I forever will have a bigger fear of the dentist and of any whitening treatments. I hate you, Kor. I hope everyone reads this and doesn't buy your terrible product.
