WORTH IT$450
In the summer of 2015, I had a botched lip filling (pictures included). I will not reveal who did this procedure as they have great reviews, and I think my lips take better to filler than the average lips. I am not angry at this doctor, but I did pay $650 and went about 6 months looking like a duck. I didn't have the funds to get the botched Juvederm dissolved (and didn't even bother to ask this doctor if she'd correct it for free). I figured I would just wait it out. I believe I and the doctor's mistakes were overfilling the top lip. I brought in a photo of Russian model Alena Shishkova, who at the time had quite a filled in top lip. I told the doctor I wanted my lips to look like Alena's. Now, the doctor did warn me that typically the aim for the bottom lip to get bigger, but that age would fill my lips to look like Alena's. She also warned me that because my lips were so thin that I would never have lips as big as Alena's (I found this odd, as Alena's pre-filled lips were even thinner than mine. And, I've seen so many massive lips that achieved the look with injections, it didn't make sense to me that I could never achieve a big lipped look). For this reason, I feared my results wouldn't be noticeable. So, I asked for an entire syringe. It was put almost entirely in my top lip. She also used a dull-tipped needle (which reduces bruising) but this was incredibly painful. I nearly passed out and I felt sick. When I saw my lips in the mirror at home I was immediately shocked at how awful they looked. I was told they'd disappear in a year, and for many people fillers dissolve quickly. I waited it out, and though eventually my lips deflated to an acceptable size (pictured), it had been over a year and there will still quite a bit of product in my top lip, rendering it larger than the bottom. A friend suggested I go get my lips done at Dr. Breazeale's clinic. She had had hers done there and they looked great. I made an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to see that his clinic charged 200$ less than the clinic that botched my lips. I believe the woman who did my lips was named Eve, and she was incredible! She was so sympathetic and said that I should never accept an experience like I had before. I was bracing myself for the incredible pain I felt last time, and felt literally no pain. She said this was because she used sharp needles as opposed to the dull tipped needle the other doctor uses. I highly suggest the sharp tipped method. The tiny bit of bruising I experienced (easily covered with lipstick) was SO worth the lack of any pain. I have been so happy with my results and now instead of being called a "clown" or a "duck", people ask where I got my lips done. My advice for people looking to get fillers: do NOT overdo the top lip! If you overfill the bottom, the worst that will happen is you'll look like Kylie Jenner (who I think is gorgeous). If you overfill the top, you will look ridiculous. Like a duck. You should also be conservative and see how you like, say, half a syringe and have the clinic store the remainder for you so you can always come back and get more if you want it. I highly recommend Dr. Breazeale's clinic!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. You look fantastic! So glad you had such a positive experience second time around. Did the small amount of bruising last long?

I'm confused about what was done to fix your lips?

Injections into just the bottom instead of the top to correct overfilling of the top x

Oh good idea! I had my top lip over injected and it stuck out weird like Marge Simpson. I couldn't stand it so I had it dissolved but I was kind of thinking I would get them fixed with more filler now that everything has settled. I also feel like my bottom lip needs something. When she overfilled my top she didn't do anything to the bottom and they haven't had any filler in them for over a year.

Haha! Marge Simpson is exactly who I looked like! Yes the first time they only put filler in my top lip too. I waited a year and my body just loves to hold onto filler so even though the "Marge" look had mostly disappeared, my top lip was still disproportionately large compared to the bottom!

I don't know how you could stand to live with those for a year. That must have been awful! Your look beautiful now!!!

Thank you! I got 2/3 a syringe (almost entirely in the bottom lip as the top was already still plump from the botched injection) and it was Juvederm!

My body metabolizing filler VERY slow, so a full syringe was too much for me. I had 2/3 a syringe of Juvederm xx
