I had Ultherapy 7 weeks ago in an effort to correct some loose skin on my neck after a massive weight loss. Everyone tells you how much better you will feel after you lose weight but no one mentions the impact it has on your skin. :-( After a lot of research I decided to try Ultherapy even though I was a little worried based on the mixed reviews. I was told not to expect much in the way of results for at LEAST months but all can say is WOW! I started noticing subtle results after just the first few weeks but chalked it up as residual swelling (I had some swelling that lasted for about 14 days after the procedure) but as time went on I realized that some actual changes were taking place. The photos below were taken on the day before my procedure and today, some 7 weeks later. I get that this isn't for everybody and feel for those who have had less than positive and downright terrible results but I wanted to put this out there to show that this procedure DOES WORK on some of us. Was it painful? Yes. Was it expensive? Yes. But the boost that I've gotten back to my self esteem by getting my "old" neck back makes it all worth while. If this is the result after only 7 weeks, I can't WAIT to see the final result. My suggestion is to do your research, find a provider that you trust and to go in with realistic expectations. I hope this helps someone out there as I relied on a lot of the reviews on this page when making my own choice to have this procedure done. I will post additional photos at the 3 month mark and again at 6 months. Good luck, everyone!

Congratulations! Your neck looks amazing. I did not see any results for my ultherapy treatment and I think that perhaps your neck condition was less severe than my own??? I think your results are fantastic! I think my neck was far worse to begin with after so much sun damage in my youth. Now that I am in my 60's, my choice might be plastic surgery.

I'm sorry your results weren't there. Did your provider offer to reimburse you with other services? This treatment isn't cheap.

It looks wonderful! So happy for you....I had an appointment and after reading all the negative comments on Ultherapy on this site, I cancelled it. got chicken....I hate the skin hanging under my chin but I'm not ready to invest the $3500 and find it doesn't work or makes it worse....

I almost did too. All I can tell you is that I'm glad I didn't. It wound up being so worth it.

That's what concerns me. Most reviews patients say they ended up with sagging skin. :(

I had thermage in 06 and ulthera in 2012 and likewise had great results that lasted over a year. I did full face and neck ulthera for just under $2k at Bella in Manila. It included cardiology work up, labs and anesthesia. I highly promote it although it seems some folks respond better to it than others. Your neck looks much better, great choice.

Thank you! Do you think you'll go back for a touch up now that a year has passed? Just hoping that my neck doesn't go back down hill once my year is up...lol.

Can you tell us which transducers (1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.5 mm) were used on your neck? The lower neck is much thinner than under the chin area so did the doctor use different transducers, and how many lines / passes did you get on your neck? Thanks, you look great.

So, as promised, just posting an update as I near the end of my 9th month post procedure. As you can see, results still look great and, overall, I'm still thrilled with the results. Will post again at the one year mark to show you my progress. :-)

I'm so glad I came across your review. You touched upon so many of the questions I have regarding Ultherapy skin tightening on the neck. You're right; each patient will have unique results, still, reading that your procedure gave you gratifying results at the 7 week mark, gave me more confidence in considering this form of treatment. BTW: Your neck looks beautiful. I wish you continued great results. Please wish me well as I seek out a plastic surgeon who can produce such a good result with my Ultherapy treatment(s).

Thank you.....Wishing you the best of luck! My advice to you is to ask lots of questions going in regarding your doctor. Will he/she or their nurse be doing the procedure or just a staffer who's had a crash course in how to run the machine? That question alone may make a huge difference in your results. Be sure to post a follow up so I can follow you back. :-)

Did a doctor do yours? When I went in for a consult, it was some young girl. I don't understand the reason I need to book an appointment. The questions I had could have been answered on the online. I thought and I hope as meeting with doctor so they could give me their professional opinion, expertise, and advice. But thank YOU for sharing. No matter who did it, you have amazing results!

Do you know how many lines/passes you got?
With what transducers?

Gosh, I honestly don't remember. I'm sorry. I know I got the full face and neck, if that helps.

Yes, your results are lovely, and I would also like to know how many lines you got and with which transducers (1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 4.5 mm)? IdealImage, can you provide a general plan for the transducers used on the full neck and the number of lines given to tighten the neck?

i think it's all very individual, depending on your skin, fat content, level of laxity, age, etc...

Please don’t get any more. Half the people on this site could explain why.

It's weird how some have excellent results and some have horror stories. I feel terrible for those who's skin responded in a bad way. I'm not a doctor or nurse, so I really can't explain why.

That's terrible. I'm so sorry to hear that. I think a LOT has to do with the practitioner who provides the service.

O no. She must be devastated- fat transfers helps a lot
January 12, 2018
It’s the machine- it’s being used on faces and is not FDA approved and melting the skin away gradually over time your head gets smaller, your face starts to get dimpled from the fat being sucked out and like a large overweight obese person that has s lot of extra skin it hangs down from your jaw that used to be pronounced , a chin that was a little difined a neck that needed a little work now needs fat grafting and a neck lift and eyes that become so small and surgical because of all the fat that’s getting absorbed. Did I mention auto-immune diseases that are no longer dormant? see all the pictures and save yourself.
