More photos...

So after I posted the last update I realized those photos didn’t have the best lighting. I took some more and the more I look at it, I guess the area that I see on my left breast really only bothers me. And goes pretty much all the way away when I lift my arms... here are a few better-lit photos.

Update! 2+ Years Post Op

Checking in to add some recent photos. Feeling still coming back to some areas on stomach. Only complaint is a little area on left breast that is numb. Also, I feel like there’s a spot on my left breast by my cleavage that the skin separated or something. Not quite a double bubble, but it bothers me a bit if I’m being picky. Overall, still one of the best decisions I have ever made. See photos to see what I mean. Keep in mind a couple of them were taken in a mirror so my left breast is really on the left in a couple photos... it makes me wonder if it’s ruptured for some reason?

But years ago when it first started Dr Stridde said it was nothing to worry about. So I haven’t!

One Year Post-Op

Well, we just celebrated “the twins” first birthday on 02/15/18! I cannot believe it’s been a year already. Figured I would log in and post some updated pics. I am still numb in some areas across my stomachs but he feeling has gradually come back. My belly button, an area across from hip to hip and a small portion of my left breast is numb... but I am used to it now.

Dr Stridde and his staff at Puget Sound Plastic Surgery were very personable and professional. Making us feel welcomed from the moment we entered the facility. We left 2.5 hrs later - my preop exam and photos were compete and I had selected my surgery date! I am traveling from 4+ hrs away from home and they have made it a breeze! We stayed at the Woodmark Hotel in the Executive Lake Washington Suite. Originally had planned on staying from Tuesday night through Friday (after my follow up appt) but stayed an additional night as it was amazing. Morning of surgery we walked the 300 feet to the surgical center and checked in -waited only a couple minutes before being brought back to get started! Tracey was very warm and friendly and made my husband and I feel so comfortable right from the start. I changed into a gown, finished consent paperwork, and then Dr Brantford, the anesthesiologist, started my IV - which was painless. Not too long after that Dr Stridde arrived, I hopped up on my pedestal and he made all the appropriate surgical markings. We discussed where my scars would be. I was surprised at how low he drew the mark and could tell right away I was going to be happy with the placement. A few minutes later Dr Brantford gave me a "cocktail" through my IV and him and Tracey walked me into the Operating Room. I laid on the table and took a few deep breaths as we discussed relaxing on a beach in Hawaii. Next thing I knew they were waking me up. Surgery was done. I was then wheeled across the street and taken the back way into our hotel and Tracey assisted my husband in getting me tucked into bed, getting my SCDs arranged and gave him a few last minute words of encouragement. The next day, I received a phone call from Jodi, the other nurse, who made sure I was fairing well and gave me advice on better controlling my pain. At my follow up appointment on Friday, my bandages were removed and I was placed in an abdominal binder by Dr Stridde. I will be following up in 7-10 days for drain removal and for continued follow ups as directed by him. My whole experience from the beginning has been more than I could have asked for or imagined. Plastic surgery is a huge, life-changing decision and I am so glad we decided on Dr Stridde and his crew.
