WORTH IT
I wanted a lip lift but was afraid of having it overdone. I also wanted a neck lift to remove some sagging and fat in that area. Dr. Marshall Partington truly listened to all of my concerns/questions. At a few weeks post-OP, Dr. Partington himself did some injections... that was really wonderful, to have the surgeon actually do the Juvederm/Botox injections. Dr. Partington did a wonderful job with everything. Thank you Dr. Partington and staff!
This review's procedures involved a couple of pre-OP consultation dates, a surgery date, a couple of post-OP appointments, and Botox/Juvederm injections a couple weeks after surgery.

How many mm did he remove from your upper lip?

I don't know exactly how many mm but since its far more reasonable and easier to go conservative at first, then go back to do more later, I opted for an effective but conservative lift. I did this based on what I could see about my relatively large upper lip starting point… I could see going too far would not look right so I decided to approach it minimally (but not too minimally) first time around.
If a lip lift is overdone it's apparently far more difficult to fix things, if even possible at all. The other way around, going minimal and possibly doing more later is apparently far easier.
Dr. Partington was very responsive to, and compassionate about the various details I expressed in a couple of pre-op discussions so I went in knowing he’d do the right thing… he did. I am very happy with his work and results yet I may actually do more and there’s room for that… that’s exactly what I wanted. He listened.
When I was initially researching lip lifts, I wanted to learn more about typical upper lip areas and distances and so forth. I read a bunch, including some medical papers, and watched some lip lift videos. That research helped me understand some of the tradeoffs and I feel were part of what helped me in being prepared to communicate effectively with my doctor.
