Hello! I wanted to share my experience for anyone out there considering a breast lift/augmentation. I know when I was doing the research before my own procedure, I loved reading other peoples actual accounts of their experience.
On 7/1/16 I had a the Mastopexy procedure. I am 5'6, weigh 210lbs. I had the anchor incisions and got 500cc silicone implants, under the muscle.
The whole process to me was amazing. I live in the Seattle area and found a great surgeon. He and others at the office, told me it would be a few day recovery and not bad at all - I didn't buy it for a second. I prepared myself for extreme pain and a longer recovery, but I had in my head that I would be back to work Tuesday.
The procedure was Friday afternoon and I was home by 8pm that evening. I took minimal pain meds throughout. The hardest parts as far as movement, were getting in/out of bed and getting comfortable while there.
Saturday I woke up expecting to be in extreme pain, but I would say it was mostly just discomfort. I didn't have pain. I had my post OP appointment Saturday morning and everything was looking great. I then went to brunch with a friend for a few hours and then went home to rest. I felt great, just tired.
I spent Sunday and Monday just relaxing at home and napping as much as I could.
Tuesday morning (day 4 post OP) I went to work as planned and I made it though just fine. I work in a typical office setting and didn't have any problems at all. I took meds Friday night through Sunday night and then nothing on Monday to prepare for work on Tuesday.
Thursday of that week (day 6 post OP, I worked a full day and then came home and made 120 cupcakes and then did the additional 100 cupcakes the next night for a wedding I was catering on Saturday.
I wanted to share all these specific details to show that it was truly a very bearable procedure. I think a lot of it is in a persons mind. Yes the Dr. may say the recovery could be 2 weeks, but that doesn't mean it has to be. I understand that a lot of it has to do with individual bodies and their recovery process and I am thankful for one that had no problems.
I would highly recommend this procedure to anyone considering it. I am only 10 days post OP and I already feel so much better about myself. My incisions are healing wonderfully and I know they will continue to get better.

Congratulations on your successful surgery and speedy recovery. It's great that you felt well enough to make all of those cupcakes! I hope you'll continue to heal well, and that you'll keep us posted on your progress.
