Caring, Talented Surgeon, and Excellent Person. - Kirkland, WA

I can't give Dr. M Partington a good enough review. He respected me, which is, in my opinion, one of the most important characteristics of a good doctor. My body, listen to ME, which he has, wholly. He gave me his honest knowledge, and listened to me when I had any requests or choices.

Starting at choosing implant size- he makes a guess and keeps it hidden with his consultant- it was fun to see how close he got to what I chose. He never made me feel like I was making a bad choice- he supported me from the get go. I didn't go 'huge', 440cc sientra high rounds, subglandular, but larger than he predicted- which tells me what his surgeon's eye said would look the best on me. I double checked a few weeks later, just to make sure I was sure, which he totally supported.

I had the '24-hr rapid recovery' twilight sedation breast augmentation done. I made him and his staff aware that I can be difficult to sedate, and my fears of post-operative pain, due to the fact he generally does not use narcotics. He trusted me to know my body, prescribed heavier-duty pain meds than he generally does, I recall one tiny bit of my surgery, they sedated me more perfectly than any doctor ever has.
Post-operatively, he took my phone calls, even returned my late call while he was on vacation, and told me that his patients are his top priority, no matter what or when. When I was still in pain, he made sure to help me get comfortable. And I won't lie, it was a lot more painful than I anticipated, or he did.

Leaving the office after my procedure, I was gifted a delightful basket of goodies- some soup, some tea, some mints, just comfort items that made a difference and showed attention to details and a level of care that is worth so very much. The lemon cookies were to die for!

My breasts are looking great, 3 weeks in. My surgical scars are neat, relatively even, and hopefully going to be unnoticeable. He did an excellent job with stitching, I have barely a line on one side, a little puckering of the scar on my left breast but far better than some other stitch scars I have.

At my first follow-up, I was gifted with a gorgeous flower arrangement. My house still smells of lovely lilies, and again, it just showed an extra attention to care. Knowing that after any augmentation, depression or anxiety can occur, having that beauty and kindness made a difference, I think. Or at any rate, it's just sweet.

I'm grateful to have chose him as my surgeon. I have more appointments in the near future- one for 1 month, another for 3 month, then 6 month follow-ups. That, again, shows great care. I couldn't have picked a better doc.

If I had to come up with a complaint, I would say that not knowing some things bothered me. His paperwork and info sheets are super long, detailed, and explain a lot, but I guess there are just some things you don't think to tell a patient- like the fact that my breasts, most especially on top where I had less tissue, are now colder than the rest of my body. I looked it up and it's very common, but I don't recall reading that bit. Nothing major, just minute details.
All in all, I would totally recommend Dr. Partington to anyone considering breast augmentation. He's beyond a good surgeon, he is a good person, and I can't give a higher recommendation than that.
