4750cc Liposuction and Breast Augmentation

When my husband finally agreed to my surgery, I knew that I wanted a highly qualified surgeon that was not only board certified, but that I felt 100% confident putting my life and body in the hands of.

My goal was breast augmentation, and large volume liposuction (4500-5000ccs), however, I got highly discouraged after consulting with 4 other surgeons that told me that I was not a candidate for breast augmentation without a lift, and that I most definitely needed a full abdominoplasty. I already knew I didn’t want either because of the scarring.

Thank goodness I found Realself because it lead me to Dr. Partington. The office is easy to find, gorgeously modern, Jill (front desk) & Mandy (Patient Coordinator) are both very sweet….but honestly that is not what made me chose this surgeon. The very second we met Dr. Partington he made us feel at ease, he was the first surgeon I consulted with that REALLY listened to what I wanted my body to look like. He took the time to fully understand that I wasn’t trying to make my breasts look 18 years old again, and he understood that I was ok that my stomach wouldn’t be “perfect” again. In just our first meeting my husband and I felt that he had integrity and fantastic listening skills, and unlike the 4 other surgeons I consulted with, he didn’t rush us out of the room. Dr. Partington took the time to educate us on my options, and even physically showed us on my body what no other surgeon took the time to do or say. He also complimented my pre-surgery body, which may seem like no big deal to him or anyone else….but to a woman who struggles with body image it felt really nice to have a surgeon take the time to compliment my pre-surgery breasts and waistline. We left his office feeling confident that he was undoubtedly “the one”. He is incredibly professional, has a charming personality and seems to really care about his patients. My husband even joked that he might have to find something for Dr. Partington to operate on…Haha!

I had my surgery April 1, 2013. When we arrived I met my Nurse Anesthesiologist (Amy, I believe?) who was equally as professional and kind as Dr. Partington and made me feel relaxed, despite being only minutes from the operating room. Although I don’t remember much from the night of my surgery, I do remember getting a personal phone call from Dr. Partington the following morning to check on me, which was a nice surprise! The office also sent me home with a sweet care package of local goodies; and honestly, it came in handy during my recovery because I had very little appetite, and I went home with a gorgeous vase of flowers on my 3 day post op appointment. Those little things don’t make a good surgeon; but a good surgeon with those little things make perfect (in my opinion)!

My Nurse, Shannon, who has been at nearly all of my appointments (pre-op, 3 day, 9 day) has been incredibly sweet, knowledgeable and is just a very kind person. She always makes sure I have her cell phone number (on 4 different occasions she made sure!) and told us to feel welcome calling her if we have any questions or concerns. On Tuesday night after my surgery my husband did call her with a concern, and she promptly called him back. She also called the night of my surgery to check on me. Shannon is a natural at being a nurse, she is funny and makes me feel comfortable, despite being naked and vulnerable 90% of the time I’m in the exam room with her.

Today I am 12 days post surgery, and I can say whole heartedly that I chose the right doctor, and that I would highly recommend Dr. Partington and his staff to anyone looking for a plastic surgeon (ok, truth is I’ve already referred 2 people!). Yes, I’m still sore, but that is to be expected, I had major surgery…but it was nothing they hadn’t prepared me for, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Dr. Partington, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my exterior confidence match my interior confidence. Whether you know it or not, you are incredibly appreciated, and will always hold a special place in my heart for the work you have done on my body. Thank you for never pressuring me, and thank you for listening to me. I look forward to seeing you at my 1 month post-op, and in the future when I escort my friends & family in!
