5 WEEKS POST OP!

Sorry I have been MIA on here for a few weeks. Here are pics I took today (5 weeks post op). I started working out regularly again and eating healthy :) The progress I have seen is incredible. I couldn't be happier. I still wear my compression garment at night and also when I am doing any kind of cardio because there is still some swelling and soreness in my stomach. The CG makes it much more comfortable to workout. My scars are getting lighter. I am using scar cream on them daily and using coconut oil and cocoa butter/firming lotions on my skin every day. I try to also massage the areas atleast 5-10min a day. The mornings always look better than the afternoons. I do sort of wish I went a little bigger with my boobs, but either way they are MUCH bigger than they used to be. I am now in a 36C/D bra depending on the store. Victoria Secret had me at a 36D. I fit so much better in my clothing... I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe because things I used to not wear due to my body shape I can now wear again AND I can finally wear tight shirts! It's great. I make sure I take my vitamins every day, especially my Vitamin E! I have been to the beach and hiking with no issues, even swam in the water. I think my biggest issue right now are my scars because I don't really want people to know I had lipo, so I just wear shorts pulled up to cover them. I hope they go completely away with time. Very grateful that I had a great recovery and that I was able to afford these procedures because my self esteem has skyrocketed. I feel like a new person :-) I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying their results as much as I am!

Lymphatic massage

Yesterday I received my first lymphatic massage. It felt great and I learned a lot from the massage therapist. I didn't realize that removing the pockets of liquid that are part of the swelling creating the unevenness in my lower stomach meant using very light pressure and pushing the liquid out towards the sides of my stomach instead of random circular motion massages with uncomfortably hard pressure. The massage therapist said if I did this type of massage on myself 5-10min every day with her miracle cream (coconut oil) that I would see a huge difference in the swelling, unevenness, and even scar healing. After the massage yesterday and this morning I did see a significant difference, so I will continue to do what she recommended. I'll take more pics at the 4 week/one month mark and will keep everyone posted.

Provider Review

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
1001 Innovation Way, Kinston, North Carolina

When I went for my consultation at the beginning of this month Dr. Cummings spent over an hour and a half answering all of my questions. He got a good idea of the look I was going for and I feel confident he will deliver those results. He is extremely personable and makes you feel very comfortable, which I really liked. I will update more after surgery.
