Sorry it's been a while since my last entry this is a wake up call to all who have surgery of any kind if you feel nausea ,pain get up and walk every 2 to 4 hrs after surgery I did not due to nausea 3 days of no food little to drink and on pain meds I was a ticking time bomb my husband tried but I was so sick at two weeks post I started to get pains in both calf muscles right was worse had a hard time walking call my dr next day he said go straight to the emergency room so I did it was a deep thoracic blood clot I was lucky it was small and had traveled to the lungs they put me on blood thinners Dr Pastrick came by the hospital to see how I was doing I can tell he cares about his patients he is this best PS in this area I doing great now and still happy with my new look here a a couple of new photos

Wow that is scary stuff! I wish drs would do a better job of educating their patients about side effects of opioid meds and how to prevent the constipation before it starts! It put me in hospital with bowel blockage and all the straining ruptured my abdominal incision leaving me with an awful bulge on left side of my stomach (after DIEP surgery). I'm now facing more surgery. Good luck and thank you too for sharing your story and photos! You look fabulous! ♡

Very true. I thought I was going to die from constipation. It was the most horrible thing to happen when you are fresh out of surgery. I was taking stool softeners at the time too. That was the worst part, worse than the surgery.

This is 6day post opt My plastic surgeon Gregory Pastrick is a mircle worker Love his staff Amanda has been the nurse that has worked close with me she is amazing My pain is at a minimal I am shocked how well I'm doing up to this point Doing the reconstruction along with the tummy tuck I am so greatful I have my figure back my next appt will be Tuesday will feel you in next dr appt on before and after measurements
