Needs redo

Pictures of chin approx 4 mos out...a few of you asked to see.

Hopefully Happy Ending

I wrote a post about a month ago after my 3 mos appointment, but I must have done something wrong as I don't see it. I was so happy and I wanted to let everyone know, that I'm sorry it didn't go through. Anyway, my Dr. was very sorry and concerned that I did not let him know sooner how unhappy and upset I was about my results. I tell you, he has told me more times than I can count to call him directly about anything and everything, but I was raised that you do not waste a Dr.'s time unless it is emergency. Live and learn!! He says that unfortunately this happens (I think he said) 15% of the time and I am just one of the lucky (not :) ) 15%. He is going to redo in December at absolutely no cost. I was sure that I couldn't have another surgery as the anesthesia for some reason was so hard on me that there was a time when I thought I had permanent brain damage. My short term memory took a very, very long time to return. He said, no problem, he prefers anesthesia, but he would not want me going through that again and he will do local with some other relaxation drugs. It helps that I'm a veteran of plastic surgery, my earlier surgeries were always twilight sedation so I should be okay. He thoroughly explained to me why and how this happened and why and how a second surgery should do very well. The chin is much, much better than it was previously, and I know that, but I also know that it is just not as it should be. My Dr. could not have been better, and I would now take a lot of responsibility on myself for not communicating with directly through him more. If I had just called him there would not have been this trauma that built inside me.

Epic Fail

I am sorry to report at this time, about 7 weeks out, that my neck procedure has totally failed. I started getting nervous about 3 weeks ago. I did have an appointment at that time, but my Dr got his schedule confused and was not available (he did have someone there to check the medical aspects). Later after taking pictures to confirm my suspicions (I really didn't want to face what the mirror was telling me) I emailed him. He responded very kindly but said it was still too early and that what I was seeing was normal. I didn't think so then and now that it has almost completely fallen back, I know that it wasn't normal. This doctors main practice is two hours away, he is only a week. I had scheduled my three month appointment with him and am just going to keep that rather than try to get an earlier one. I'm going on vacation soon and by the time I get back it will be closer to appointment. I do not see an issue with moving the appointment anyway as what is, is.
All that money and pain for nothing!! The worst part is that I had a wonderful neck and chin for a few weeks and know how great it felt to look like that.
