Tummy Tuck with Muscle Repair

WORTH IT$11,000
This Friday, I’m heading in for my second surgery with Dr. Peterson. I had my BL/BA 5 months ago and I’m finally completing my mommy makeover. I was so pleased with my BL results, I’m hoping to have the same positive experience again.
I’m a 42 year old mother of 2, 5’3”, 142lbs. I gained 65 lbs in my first pregnancy and 45 in my second. I gained and lost weight so many times, I can’t keep track anymore. I’ve always maintained regular exercise and have been a life long runner and workout regularly. But I’ve been within a 10 lbs range for the last 3 years and am ready to have my poof and excess skin gone. I’ve been waiting over 10 years now. I’m so excited.

Are you happy with your results so far? Do you feel it was worth doing?
September 5, 2018
Yes, I’m happy I did it. But way too early to tell if I’m happy with the results. Even if it comes out not optimal (I think it’ll look great though), I’d still be happy to have had it done just for the muscle repair alone. I was so unhappy with my midsection, I felt that anything would be better than what I was living with.

Thank you for the response. I'm debating whether I should go with getting one or not. I would want to lose a little more weight before I did though. I hope you have a good recovery!

Good luck to you! What I would say is do your research on the surgeon you plan on using. They are not created equal and I spent weeks researching who I was going to go with. And take your time, if you’re unsure, then give it time. My PS told me that you should be within 10lbs of your weight goal for optimal results. Have a wonderful day!

TT countdown- 2 days until surgery!

fabinher40s
So 2 days until surgery and I’m finally getting excited and nervous. I’m really hoping everything will go smoothly as the last time I developed an infection with my BL/BA and it knocked me on my butt for 2 weeks. Anyway, posting bikini pics. Really regretted not documenting my other surgery so I’m adding lots of photos for this one.

TT is done!

Had my TT yesterday and it went super! PS didn’t have to put any drains in so I’m free from that encumbrance, thank god! The compression garment isn’t too bulky and I’ve got my pain under control. I’m just feeling super sore at the incision but no acute pain. I’m taking tramocet every 4 hours and an ibuprofen suppository (yes, up the bum) every 12 hours until tonight. I can barely get myself out of the prone position but making my arms into triangle is my new way to scooch and get myself up. I do have a hand rail on my bed when I finally get home, but currently I’m holed up in a hotel until tomorrow as my PS is 300km away from me. I don’t take the CG off until Tuesday or Wednesday and I’ll post photos then.

Could you tell me why they didn't need any drains? Just curious. Glad your surgery went well!

Hi, I didn’t need drains because the surgeon performed a drainless TT. It’s a tummy tuck that involves either gluing or suturing (or a combination of both) the inside where the skin is lifted so it doesn’t create pockets in which fluid can accumulate. Apparently it’s a shorter recovery time and better results. I highly recommend researching it or talking to
Your PS about it. If you look up drainless tummy tuck on this site, there is a whole section devoted to it
