I am a 29 year old looking to get volume back in my breasts after weight loss. I've always wanted a breast augmentation, but never really made it a priority until about a year ago. Last January I reevaluated some of my life goals and realized I really wanted to get myself some new boobs for my upcoming 30th birthday. At the time I was overweight/obese, and like most women had been "trying to lose weight" for years; I weighed just over 180lbs. I decided I wanted to live a long happy healthy life that realistically I needed to make changes for that to be a reality. So I changed my diet to a largely plant based (not vegan, just vegetarian) unprocessed foods diet. I didn't really focus on exercise or calorie restriction; basically I just ate the right foods until I was full and didn't really worry about the rest. I've now lost over 30lbs and am still losing weight though at this point it's much slower progress. After losing weight my breasts lost a lot of volume, thankfully not too saggy, just deflated. The breast augmentation has always been the prize for myself to award my weight loss and I've now lost enough that I'm happily going ahead with surgery.
I chose Dr Brian Peterson in Kelowna on a recommendation from a co-worker and general "word around town". He had a fairly long wait time; I phoned to book a consult in September and couldn't get an appointment until January. They ended up having a cancellation at the end of November so I was able to have my consult earlier and book my surgery for February 3, 2017.
Dr Peterson and his staff were really great! They made myself and my husband feel really welcome, answered all our questions and really made sure to understand my goals. I was able to show him some wish boobs and he told me he knew what size I would need to achieve the look but wanted me to try in sizers without knowing the ccs he thought I would need. The nurse then helped me try on sizers (actual silicone implants) and I ended up liking the look of the 550cc, and choosing the 600cc to achieve the look of the 550. Dr Peterson also noted that one of my breasts is larger than the other (as is true for almost all of us), and because I wanted to go fairly large he recommended I actually have liposuction in my left breast to correct the imbalance. He explained that the implants he uses only go up by 50ccs after a certain size so he can more accurately correct the size with Lipo than using a different sized implant.
So far I'm just really excited! My pre op appointment is next week so I will re-size and ask more questions then.

Do you have any after pics. I'm 5'7" 147 lbs. 36C cup. Seeing Petterson in August. On the fence about size. Left thinking 500s. Now leaning towards 600s

Had my surgery last night at about 5pm! My scheduled arrival time was 1pm so a surgery before mine must have gone long; I was starving by the time I went into surgery as I hadn't eaten since 6pm the night before. The surgery went well but Dr Peterson couldn't get the amount of volume he wanted from my left breast so I ended up with a 550cc HP in my left and 600cc HP in my right.
Coming out of surgery was a little rough and I ended up throwing up a few times. The nurses took excellent care of me and never made me feel rushed despite the fact that I was the last patient on a snowy Friday night. I woke up about 6:40pm and didn't leave the surgical centre until about 8:30pm. We had a bit of a sketchy drive home in the snow - barely made it into the driveway! Once home I was able to fall asleep promptly and I slept until about 4am.
Haven't really had much pain, mostly just tightness from the swelling and generally feeling uncomfortable. Ice packs have been my friend today.
Other than that my boobs are huge! I'm hoping that once the swelling comes down they won't look so ginormous. Currently wearing the 34G Wacoal underwire sports bra as per my surgeons instructions.
