$4,346
1st Injection of sculptra and Botox in forehead , crows feet and between brows -immediately after ... My results disappeared from sculptra as expected will post pics after my 2nd appointment. The Botox had not really started to show the effects - I am pleased with smoothing of forehead lines , wrinkle between brows but I don't believe enough was used on my crows feet. Pain was minimal - she is only doing 3 syringes I think I need 4 . I am having radiesse for lips and corner of mouth lift .

I always tell the doc no filler near my lower face! it gives you a chipmunk look and lower facial fat is aging and jowly!. I had observed women with over inflated lower face sand I hate that look! Good news is in 2-3 months it goes flatter! I have had numerous treatments and it is somewhat permanent! I had flattening in my upper cheeks and I lost facial volume there. I'm at a good place now after 3 years and 3 treatments with it. I don't think Ill get it anymore. My face is thinner and there is just enough volume. I also have a lump inside my mouth that is probably a granuloma I need to get checked. I just found it!

Hi there, just scrolling through this thread and saw your comment about the granuloma you had found. Did you have it looked at? I'm curious if you found it was from Sculptra- and if you were able or needed to have it treated. Thanks if you're able to reply:)

I'll add my 2 cents worth...I've never had Sculptra, but was considering it until I read some reviews, here, about lumpiness. I have had juvederm and restylane in the past and got the results I wanted. In fact, after the second series of injections (4 weeks apart), I didn't need any more injections for 1 1/2 years. I also have an auto-immune disease (Sjogrens Syndrome) and unfortunately underwent Smartxide CO2 laser for under-eye bags. This is an ablative laser that left me scarred and with very thin skin and continue to have a bad sunburn type pain 2 years later. It got rid of the bags beneath my eyes, but it is so thin that it tears under my eyes and the dots associated with the laser are coming up to the surface, so it looks like I have a grid of dots there. Please Please think twice or three times before doing laser. If you read all the reviews posted, at least you will make an informed choice. My doctor Kathleen Soe, said she was doing Fraxel (non-ablative) laser and instead chose to use the other one, without telling me. I also found out that she would rent the laser for the day. You might want to ask if they own their laser or if it's shuffled back and forth. Good luck to you:D

Lovely lady with all your respect I do not know why doctors have not advice to NOT waist you money on injections when in reality you only need a forehead reduction! and if possible a cheek implants.... Let me guess doctors can milk a cow more with temporary results right:(
I had my forehead reduction and my cheeks implants 3years ago and It help me to get my life back...

Sculptra update 5 wks after 1st vial
I had my my follow up today - for my second sculptra injection - and a follow up to my first vial which was exactly 5 weeks ago. I also had my lips done with radiesse and she injected some left over into the corners of my mouth. These are pictures of print outs I hope to update up with digital pics when they email them from the doctors office - so the pics quality is not that good. The changes in just 5 weeks have been amazing - i prefer the side shot to frontal but ALOT of volume has been restored. - my chin especially. I hope to see the jowels lift after this second vial today. I do not know what I can do about my eyes upper and lower without surgery. Any ideas I am open. The lip augmentation was PAINFUL ! The sculptra the second time around was minimal. Again pardon the pics quality. Any ideas on lower n upper eyes besides surgery ? I know my noes is ridiculous but I waited too long so now the focus has to be keeping face from falling - I will have to make piece with this nose it seems. I am very pleased with results thus far. Feedback is welcome

did you get radiesse around the lips or in them? i thought radiesse is not for lips.. anyway about the sculptra, are you saying you got syringe or vial? ( there are about 7cc in each vial, and a syringe is usually mixed where u get 2cc of scultpra in each syringe ,,, ask the doctor how much cc of sculptra you are getting because you are not likely to see results with a few cc of sculptra and it may be cheaper to buy a vial instead of by cc,, eg..- in my area its 99 per cc, but a vial is 600 so you get 100 off

January 3, 2016
I got the full vial in syringe -- it was 900 for sculptra . I will ask for sure thank you

I just did Juvaderm Voluma and it really helped with the under eye area! I don't know if you can do both Sculptra and Voluma...?

August 9, 2016
why suffer and get sculptra if you can get fillers such as voluma on the cheeks and control how much voluma you can get?

The best thing to do is evaluate the whole face to evaluate necessary priorities. It looks that nose job and blepharoplasty would be most necessary. Then maybe facelift for the jowels later. Having surgery many times leads to better overall results- Im sure you will be very happy afterward with beautiful face with the right surgeon.

Sculptra metabolized after 6 months ?
Hi there - went in for follow up after last sculptra treatment and I dont have the pics but my pics showed significant collagen losss - my pics looked like i had not had any injections - the doc said she had only seen this one other time . I homeschool our child with autism and husband in a contractor in afghanistan so he is gone all but 13 days 2 x yr - doc said im a rapid metabolizer and my stress level are responsible - our life conditions are not going to change so what are the recommendations for my attempts at fighting off aging with sculptra if it is not going to last beyond 6 months ??? I had another syringe injected wednesday and was asked to come back in 3 months - I have lupus was told this had no effect but my hair falling out from the root and the sculptra dissipating is said to be my stress level ! My botox only lasted 6 weeks - switched to dyasport . Any recommendations ??!

Hi, sorry to here your treatment has not had extended result you probably hoped for (I'm only referring to Sculptra!). I had my first 2 injections 15.12.15, have to say I nearly collapsed at the bloatedness caused by the water "carrier", fortunately that subsided after a couple of hours and constant massaging out of worry! I had hummed and ha'd re the cost of this and had looked into other over the counter products.
3-4 months prior to the Sculptra I started taking Hydrolysed Collagen tablets which are available at the UK health shop Holland&Barrett , 4 weeks into taking them a friend commented on how 'healthier , plumper in face' I looked.... which was encouraging, ..... I stopped taking them 6wks before the Sculptra treatment, as I had finally decided to go for that, and I didn't want have a 'clash' of collagen building!!! I'm 4 wks on from 2 injections and am just now starting to see some improvement. I have a varied metabolism as I have Thyroid problem, was over active , since treatment for that I am on Thyroxine 150mcg/day (because no self production now) so am classed as underactive, can't win, but I STILL eat like a horse , not all healthy at all...McDs ,choc, sugar on cereals etc and despite this I'm still UK size 10... I burn off quick!
I am hopeful that Sculptra will 'do its thing' but being lean in body and face I do wonder how long it will last.
Now to the important bit!.. I think that should I not have long lasting results , or they diminish I will definitely recommence the h.collagen tablets as they seemed to have started to show an improvement and can hopefully improve/maintain fullness. Secondly the advised massaging for Sculptra was something I'd started to do with them and shall continue , the stimulation of massage increases bloodflow to the cheeks in my case and this is proven to aid natural collagen production, as is Vit C consumption (that's prob my best healthy habit 250ml of orangejuice/day!). As far as external/topical treatments go..skincare regime etc.. I always moisturise/exfoliate blahblah... but saved my pennies and invested in E.Lauders Advanced Night Repair serum, I used to work for them and as much as I disliked them.. I couldn't fault the ANR... I only use it at night as it's an extravagant purchase as far as face products go in my opinion, but the effects/benefits are great -really!! Should have continued with other training I had re facial massage, might not be where I am now! Deep furrows between brows can be smoothed out over a few months, both ring fingers moderate pressure central, moving outwards and up (bird wing shape!) daily x10.
Can't say I can see anything wrong with your eyes from the pics! IF you feel there are sockets/gulley lines angling down from the inner corners... then maybe tear trough.... that was why I initially went to see someone, had very pleasing instant results from that, which is why explored Sculptra (sat in the waiting room! not at the Drs suggestion ) .
Should I find Sculptra doesn't last.. for me, it's defo the tablets , daily facial massaging (while watching Coronation St!) and nightly application of ANR!
About me: 50, lost my mum 2013, Forces partner dumped me by email from Afghan , hate getting old, smoke and eat 'badly' lol. It's all taken its toll ON MY FACE!! Stress of loss/waiting and worrying all 8 tours/passing years and bad habits.
Very lengthy , sorry, hope it gives you some solutions!

Hi there ! Thank you so much for sharing all your good information ! I have lupus and have been through a multitude of episodes where I have had macrocystic amemia - I do not drink but the doctor said my folic acid levels and B12 where likened to a patient who had a hx of severe etoh issues - but mine she said was idiopathic in nature ? I am dealing with multiple thyroid cysts at the moment 8 to be exact - cold nodules but I am getting into see a specialist - I suspect I am having serious thyroid issues as I have developed seborrihic dermatitis ( never had skin or scalp issues ) and my hair is just coming out in my hands . I stopped all keratin smoothing, highlights etc and no blow drying or use of flat iron - boy do I look a mess. I am taking vitamins supplements etc - I am not going to gym as I have in the past - the lupus has been in flare so im having loads of fatigue / amongst other things. I am sure it is lending to issues of what is going on with my collagen issues. I have such a long list of docs I need to go see its a bit overwhelming. Im not anything for the lupus at the monent. I appreciate you sharing your info. Im going to have the blood work etc done - then address the sculptra tx again - I got some good advice after posting that I needed 2 vials and 4-6 txs - and Along with a touch of another filler .. Along with a few houston area docs who I am going to follow up - as opposed to my current dermatologist. Thanks so much for sharing - your super sweet !!

Hi there ! How are you doing ? I just caught that you have a significant other in afghanistan - I have one as well !!! Its a rough life and i look at pics of myself in 2012 and then now and I too see it ALL ON MY FACE!!' I can relate to everything you said !! I do not know anyone else with a spouse or significant other overseas I would love to correspond . I hope yall resolved the issue and back together. That place changes them ya know and not for the better . There is a lot of breaking up that occurs with long term deployments . Mine is civilian so I know the lifestyle but do not know the same sacrifices as a soldier and his family . We merely support the brave efforts of the men and woman in uniform. Let me know how your treatments are going and how you are doing

Hiya
I'm interested in your comment about your botox not lasting so long. Mines only ever lasted about 10 weeks and I've been having it for about 20 years, seriously! I get nervous sometimes that it may not be working so well, so am looking into my options for if and when that happens. So I'd be really interested in hearing how the disport is working for you. You may also be interested to try a supplement called Zytaze I only read about it recently and not yet tried it. Its basically Zinc with an enzyme to help it get absorbed that you take a few days before your botox and its been shown to make it last much longer. Its quite cheap too and I see you can buy it online. I haven't yet given it a try, but plan to do so when I next have botox. All the best and thanks for your review.

Sculptra takes time to build up. your own immune reaction to the product will form scar tissue and fill you out. I have had it for 3 years and what I see is a nice fuller cheek. Not chipmunky like some overfilled people get. It takes time. I'm not sure if its safe for you considering your immune condition. I would do some research and contact your immunologist! If it is, it just takes time to get the full effect. Regarding hair loss, make sure you get enough protein. Try some stress reduction exercise even 15 minutes a day of fast paced walking! Good luck!

sculptra takes time to see result! maybe 6-10 treatments over 3 years? But it lasts and gives a real fullness.
Thanks for starting a review. Â Sometimes you need to go back and get a botox "top off" to get the desired results. Â Always better to start with less and add a little more later! Â When is your second Sculptra appointment? Â Let us know how that goes as well as the Radiesse :)
It is amazing how some of us metabolize these injectables so much faster than others. Â Best wishes with your upcoming surgeries, it sounds like they are well deserved :)
