Breast Reduction/Tummy Tuck
ORIGINAL POST
After many years of wanting/needing a breast...
WORTH IT$10,001
After many years of wanting/needing a breast reduction i finally got the nerve to make an appointment.....Dr Rodgers was recomended by a friend and he was the only surgeon that I saw.
No shopping around for me!
I have 2 awesome kids that resulted in 2
c -sections and then to top it off I breast fed each of them for 3 years.....ugh!
So now at 45 I was wearing a 36/38i depending on the bra and i was fed up! So hard to buy cloths and my job requires me to wear a younger style of clothing.
So i made the appointment hoping by some chance insurance would cover the breast reduction. While I was there we talked about expected breast size and then I realizes!! Oh no......my stomach will be bigger than my breasts! And we cant have that..so i also got a quote for an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo.
And then we wait.......4 weeks later in June we got the insurance approval! YAY! I was so excited.
Because my job is ridiculously crazy from the end of July to the beginning of Sept I scheduled my surgery for September 19.......it seemed so far away.......tick..tock...tick..tock....?
Now I am 7 weeks out and im lovin My AWESOME results.
What I can say is you will need LOTS of help. Take your meds on time because they say slight discomfort.......NOOOO this is untrue..lol
Make sure you wear your binder and also make sure you take enough time off work.I was off 3 weeks...... but needed a bit more.
Also i used FMLA and also qualified for short term disability because the reduction was covered by insurance.
So to make a very long story short! Im super glade I finally did it and that I chose Dr Rodgers to do the job!

11 months post op!
It's almost been a year and this was the best decision I ever made! I'm now wearing a 36D instead of a 38I.....so awesome. Now about a 10/12 in the waist down from a 16. Loving it so much I'm going back for more in October!
