DAY 6

Woke up with a banging headache today, seem to be getting them every morning at the moment. Other than that though all is well. Not feeling any pain in my legs or stomach and I can now roll around as much as I please in bed - finally! And can cuddle up to the boyfriend now too so much better.
Travelling home was a lot easier than I anticipated. The flight wasn't uncomfortable, if anything walking through the airport was the hardest part as my legs were swollen and I had to keep stopping to catch my breath. All in all a pretty good flight home though.
I'm still wearing my compression garments at the minute which provide a lot of comfort. I've also booked in for my first MLD in a couple of days and really looking forward to it.

I forgot to mention....

I forgot to mention I'm 21, 5ft1, 58kg and a UK dress size 10 preop. Despite having a healthy diet and exercising regularly I just couldn't get back down to my slim size 6-8 (which I was a few years ago). I especially found it difficult to lose weight on my thighs and hips but that's all sorted now, I'm extremely happy with my vaser lipo so far!

DAY 3
Anyway back to the review.... This morning I had my first shower and it was seriously just amazing. I put my garments back on without the dressings and headed back over to the clinic where they put clean, fresh dressings on for me. The nurse also gave me my first thrombosis injection in the arm, probably the most painful part so far lol. I'm finding it much easier to walk around now and feeling less pain, just a little sore when I first get up if I've been sat down for a while. I'm getting my drains removed tomorrow morning and then I will be flying back home in the evening- eek!

After researching for many months I finally...

After researching for many months I finally decided to go ahead and get VASER Lipo to my waist, abdominals, hips (flanks) and inner/ outer thighs. I called many clinics both in the UK and abroad and finally settled on Dr. Klos at Kriocentrum, Poland. Everything was organised through Natasza, and I have to say she was absolutely amazing in providing information and answering questions from start to finish. The price came to £4000 (including flights, hotel and transfers), which was a bargain considering the prices in the UK seem to start at £4000 for just one area. After paying my deposit, around £450, I went ahead and booked my flights and hotel. I stayed at Holiday Inn Jozefow just 25 minutes from the airport and a mere 5-10 minutes from the clinic and it cost £168 for 5 nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are having treatments at Kriocentrum, as it has everything (spa, pool, bar, golf course, tennis courts etc) and the rooms are beautiful as well as it being nestled in the quiet forest area - great for recovery!

I was due to have surgery on 2/7/14 so arrived in Poland the afternoon before. My partner and I were picked up by Andrew at the airport and taken to the hotel where we got plenty of rest ready for the big day! The flight was only 3 hours in total with an added 2 hour stop in Amsterdam. Natasza had also contacted me to provide me with transfer details and to see if I had any final questions.

DAY OF SURGERY
So it was finally time to get skinny! :-) We were picked up and taken to the clinic where I filled out some forms and went through to speak to the doctor. Dr Klos speaks good English and was very clear in explaining all the details of the procedure and making you feel at ease. After this I paid the remaining amount and was swiftly taken into my own personal room to get changed. I was then taken into the operating theatre and Dr Klos proceeded to mark out the areas that he was going to operate on as well as taking a few before pictures - yikes! The nurses then got me settled on the operating table and next thing I know I was falling asleep.

Once I came round I was already in my bed in the other room with padding and garments on. All I remember was feeling extremely tired and my eyes were drooping as I struggled to take in all that the Dr was saying. Although I recall him basically saying all had gone well and he'd removed 3.5litres of fat and that my boyfriend would be in soon to see me. Shortly after I was brought some water and a drip was connected to my hand as I felt slightly nauseous, so this was to prevent me from throwing up all over. My boyfriend then came in and repeated everything Dr Klos had already told me and that he'd been given some antibiotics, painkillers and 5 injections to be done once a day to prevent thrombosis. Finally I managed to get up, feeling slightly dizzy mind, and was transferred back to the hotel by the Dr where I went straight to bed. Throughout the night I had to go to the toilet which was a pain considering everything I had to undo and had to keep asking my poor boyfriend to do it all back up for me each time bless him. Sleep wise I could only lay on my back but this wasn't too bad.

DAY 2
The next day I was scheduled to go back to the clinic to change my dressings. I'd leaked all over the bed and on my garment so that was unsightly. However Dr Klos assured me this was normal in the first couple of days. The nurse came in and changed my dressings and wiped me down and I got a first glance at my new body. All I can say is wow, my stomach was completely flat even when I bent over and my thighs were super slim I was ecstatic! Dr Klos then explained that I would experience swelling within the next couple of days but this was nothing to worry about. The nurse put a new garment on me and even gave me another one for free to take home with me, how lovely. I was then booked in to come in again the following morning to change my dressings again and advised to have a shower before I came in. Back to the hotel we went. I'm not feeling any pain at this point although there is a numbing sensation and it is difficult to walk around due to the amount of padding on my legs.

I will update as each day passes.

Dr Klos and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They paid attention to every detail and were extremely caring and helpful. Natasza was also a delight throughout the whole booking process and continued to contact me even after the procedure. I would definitely recommend this clinic and Dr Klos.
