For as long as I can remember I have had a...

For as long as I can remember I have had a bothersome deviated nasal septum. While it has long been an annoyance, having to undergo surgery always deterred me from getting it fixed. In addition, I wanted to wait until I was a little bit older before considering to alter any facial appearance. However, I thought about it some more and finally decided that it was time to look into fixing it and clearing up my airway for good. Boy am I glad I did!

Fortunately, as I started thinking about which doctor I should contact for the surgery someone I know referred me to Dr. Losquadro. I looked into his work and was convinced he'd be a great option. While in the hospital, things ran very smoothly. Dr. Losquadro met with me before surgery to go over everything a final time. After that, I woke up comfortably and it was all done. My nose was crusty with dried blood for some time. It took several days to loosen it up with some peroxide and cotton swaps. But that was expected and it was never all that bad.

It is a little over a month since the surgery and having now been through it all, I am so thrilled that I decided to do it. Being able to breathe so clearly is such a blessing. In addition to that, it really looks fantastic! A perfect example of when form meets function!

Dr. Losquadro is very professional and understanding. Right from the outset he listened attentively to what I wanted and the concerns that I had for changing my nose. I explained that fixing the deviated septum was most important to me, but that I also wanted my nose to be straighter (symmetrically) from the front as well as straighter (or flatter) when viewing my profile. He clearly understood and the results are amazing! I am very thankful he took the time to listen and understand what I wanted and that he successfully accomplished it in surgery. For recovery during the week after surgery, Dr. Losquadro only used a small cast and some medical tape - no splints and no nasal packing. This was very convenient and not bothersome at all. Furthermore, there was little to no bruising. His work is so meticulous and exact. I didn't have any black eyes like post-op photos I've seen of patients of other surgeons. There was some swelling around my nose and upper cheeks under my eyes. Nothing bad at all (I wasn't embarrassed to go in public). I credit Dr. Losquadro's skill and precision for the ease of recovery and the incredible results. During my recovery checkups, he thoroughly made sure that everything was healing properly in my nose. He answered some of my unique questions like when and how the surgery would affect my long-distance running, SCUBA diving, and the like. It has been a very pleasant experience working with Dr. Losquadro beginning with the initial meeting in his office, to the hospital, and to the office again for checkups. It all was as smooth as I could have ever hoped. I have absolutely no regrets in choosing him as my doctor for this procedure.
