WORTH IT$12,000
Fully back into my gym and work routine and feel like my energy levels have finally returned to where they were preoperatively. Finally went out and bought some new clothes, which felt AMAZING :) I imagine that these results are final and I am very happy with them. Here are some of my pre/post op stats
Waist: Preop- 35 inches, Postop- 31-inches
Hips: Preop- 46 inches, Postop- 35- inches
Weight: Preop 175 lbs, Postop- 162 lbs (Dr removed about 8 lbs of skin during procedure)

Once again I think the pain and soreness was totally worth how I feel about my new body and I would do it all over again if I had to. I am really looking forward to finishing my work with Dr Cannova in January when I have my chest, arm, and medial thigh lifts. Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Did you stay in the hospital or did you go immediately home after surgery? How many hours was your surgery? What was the pain like upon waking on a scale to 1 to 10?

I left the hospital the next day around 1 pm. My procedure took about 3.5 hours but women take a bit longer due to the differences in contouring. In pacu my pain was a good 8 but once I got to my room it never got above a 6 and I was usually able to keep it below a 4. The pain really isn't too bad what is most uncomfortable is the muscle stiffness which takes a while to resolve. My dr was really good about pushing me to walk and giving me the medicine needed to keep my muscles in check. I hope my answer helps you.

It does help. I too live in Missouri but consulting next month in Houston and San Antonio with two doctors there. I would love to be closer to home and KC would be within a couple of hours for me rather than 15 hours from home. Did you consult with more than one doctor in the KC area or just how did you settle with this one?

Just how painful was it the first week or two? I am scared to have this done but also want to. I'm just a bit scared. How are your scars looking? I've not been able to access your latest pictures. Just four of them. Thanks for your openness and willingness to share.

I've been told that I have a good pain tolerance and I didn't think the discomfort was too bad (and definitely well worth it). You definitely want to make sure you have a friend or family member with you to help you out for the first few days. I would say the discomfort got up to a 6/10 upon exertion and at rest was very tolerable. My scars look great, the scar is completely flat and already starting to fade. I hope this helps :)

Weeks 5 and 6

Got busy so combining weeks 5 and 6 into a single post

Week 5: At my previous Dr visit I was instructed to get back into my gym routine by resuming workouts on the elliptical. I was able to do 35 minutes on 2 days at a greatly reduced resistance and was very very wiped out after doing so. I also went back to work this week which also sapped my energy but it was nice to get back into my routine and not be home all the time. Not going to lie, it was also nice to hear all the positive comments from my coworkers about my improved shape.

Week 6: I was able to do 3 days of consecutive workouts on the elliptical at a still reduced resistance level (but increased from the previous week). These workouts didn't wipe me out and my range of motion was much improved from the previous weekends workouts. I took some new photos and I think I'm starting to be able to see abs :) The swelling in my flanks from the lipo persists but I know that it can take 8-12 weeks for it to resolve, in the meantime I continue to perform a lymphatic massage across the entirety of my scar line twice per day and I can tell that it's helping. Thanks for reading, I likely will not update again until the 8 week mark, please let me know if you have any questions.

This week has been MUCH better. I dropped a lot of the swelling weight and am finally below my preop weight. I am really starting to notice the difference in my clothing now that the swelling has dissipated. I've stayed fairly active by walking 10k+ steps a day (including walking 30 minutes on the treadmill at 3 MPH). Today the Dr told me I can use the elliptical again and can continue as long as I am comfortable. I am going back to work on Monday and am definitely ready, going stir crazy. Thank-you for reading and for all of your support. :)
