Hematoma getting better...

So, as I mentioned my lipo resulted in a hematoma. I don't think it would have bothered me as much (at it's biggest it was the size of a half dollar coin) if it was somewhere other than my pubic/right labia area. But it's definitely reducing in size. This is what I have been doing to help my body get rid of the hematoma (of course you should consult with your doctor)...
Epsom salt baths from 40-60 mins - it must be at least 40 mins -
Grapeseed oil massaged into area. I started off with a very gentle, lymph massage, and after a few weeks have progressed to much more aggressive massage to "break it up."
I add a little bit of arnica gel and rub it in, let it dry (it's sticky even when dry).
Still wearing compression shorts (I just wear the yoga shorts one size smaller).

I am back to working out at full capacity. I still swell a little at the end of the day. There is still one small spot that is tender.

I don't regret the procedure I just wish my doctor would have given a little better aftercare. He really didn't advise me on how to handle the hematoma. But the above techniques have worked for me.

I had a TT a few years ago with a PS in Jupiter,...

I had a TT a few years ago with a PS in Jupiter, FL. He left me with a terrible scar; I basically had a "T" scar with two bellybuttons, the old one was still there but lower and the new one. After a few years, I noticed that my pubic area was "fatty" compared to a fairly flat tummy. The scar was very adhered to the underlying tissues as well. It was very noticeable especially in underwear, bikini bottoms, and workout clothes. I decided to get lipo to the mons pubis. At the last minute, literally as I was being marked, my new PS asked if I wanted to get a scar revision as well. I said yes.

Long story short. I feel that the scar revision was a very good improvement. I am also getting laser done to my scar to soften it up. It's been about six weeks and I am still sore from the lipo. The pubic area really, really takes a much longer time to heal. I have a small hematoma on the right labia and above that is slowly healing.

I am not posting pics at this time due to the area that I got the work done. My main point in posting is that for the first couple weeks after the procedure I was kinda freaking out about the swelling and the pain. I felt that I was misled about how long it would be before I could "return back to my normal routine." But the fact is that we all heal differently. Hematomas happen. Everyone's pain tolerance is unique. I could have easily come on this site (which I really feel is such an asset to have for all of us to research procedures and such) and totally trashed the PS and the procedure itself. But, guess what? I am getting better! I know that I will be happy with the result. Yes there is still some soreness but it's going away. Epsom salt baths for 40 minutes (google this) has been THE ANSWER for me and what has helped me the most. I also massage the area with grape seed oil (google lymph massage). I just stopped taking at least 1 percocet (325/10) as of yesterday. So, yes finally I am progressing.

Please think before you post here. I think it should be mandatory to post when your procedure was. No one is happy the day after or maybe even a few weeks later. Allow healing to occur at it's natural progression. Take the appropriate steps before surgery, ask what to avoid and what to take to help get your body as healthy as possible before... see what products can help you after. Eat healthy, drink water... start walking as soon as possible.

I had difficulty finding info on lipo in this area... so I just wanted to say that it was worth it for me.
