Recovering...
Haven't posted in a while. I'm absolutely loving my new breasts. Still quite swollen and tight and in a bit of pain (although manageable). Shape changes daily. Nurse recommends massaging to help the swelling along with drinking plenty of fluids and walking. Word to the wise: I know there will be times that you think you 'feel better' and may be tempted to do a little more, DON'T. Just take it easy, no sudden movements, go slow, eat lots of pineapples, take the pain meds if you need it and Happy Healing to all who have crossed over. Looking forward to the 'end result'.
Surgery 9/19/14 was a success!
Surgery went great! I'm stitched and taped up really tight. No drains and very minimal bleeding the first day, no bleeding since. Pain level fluctuates from a 5-7 so I'm on pain meds every 4-6 hours. I am swollen and tight but so happy to have the pain relief from my back and shoulders. I'm able to get up and walk around. Just be careful and concentrate on using your leg and stomach muscles to move. I was ginormous and now the 'girls' are sitting high and perky. Best decision I made.
Pre-OP is over. Countdown is on! 6 days to go....
Pre-op went well. Labs, paperwork, lots of questions, instructions. Met with the PS. All went very well. I'm looking forward to no longer suffering from neck, back and shoulder pain. I hope the shoulder grooves disappear. The insurance co. dictates how much tissue has to be removed so I'm having 700+ grams removed from each side. Not sure what size I'll end up but excited about the end results!
