Basically, after having three
Children back to back and fighting the good fight with weight loss, my body won the battle but my stomach lost the war. My sagging lower tummy looked like a topographical map. While I was enjoying the progress of my upper body with heavy weight training and tightening up, my lower abdomen kept dropping farther and farther. She had done my reconstructive breast surgery about 10 years prior and the results were fantastic. Luckily, she was still practicing and did tummy tucks.
After all the years, her and her nurse, Maria were still the same - sweet, professional and just lovely. After the consultation we agreed a tummy tuck and light lipo in the flank to round out the contour would be the order.
I scheduled my surgery for May 29th.
The surgery went perfect! I felt relaxed and comfortable leading up to the OR and I woke up nice and easy from anesthesia. Maria and Dr. D were in touch with me via cell phone my whole recovery; answering ever question
Or concern. I did get a mild infection and fever 10 days post op but after one phone call I had antibiotics within an hour and in less than a day it was all but gone.
I am three weeks post op and I love the results. I still have some swelling to subside and things to settle but it's amazing! I can see my vagina! That sounds weird but when all your weight is concentrated in your lower stomach and sitting on top of that area, it's hard to see. I am wearing cute panties that have an unobstructed view! I'm wearing short and jeans without having to decided whether to tuck the loose skin in or let it hang out on the top! The results were more than I anticipated.
