Great Functional Improvements, but Aesthetically Disappointed

UPDATED FROM Brave384671

Is this better ?

WORTH IT$4,363
I'm wondering if by advancing a bit more it would look like this. I know I shouldn't be thinking about what could've been, but I do want to know whether my current result is the optimal result !

So I thank anyone in advance for their honest feedback. Would it have looked better like this ?

Cheers
Alex

Hi Alex,
I can definitely see an improvement. But I also understand what you would have liked. Is it that you want the jaw to be projectd further outwards?
I Don't know how your teeth are. But my teeth slant inwards and my jaw receded due to teeth being taken when young.
My ortho managed to make a bit of space either side of my teeth and make gaps and was going to cover them with bonding.
However there is only a slight difference in projection forward so I decided to postpone the surgery. Or I feel I wouldn't be happy. We are now going to try and make gaps where the teeth was taken out and have a bridge eventually to cover them.
Do you have enough room to slide your jaw as forward as you would like? If so I don't understand why he didn't bring you more forward and that could be a conversation you could have with your ortho.
Or if it a space thing there are other options.

Great Functional Improvements, but Aesthetically Disappointed

I underwent a bi-maxillary advancement for sleep apnea three weeks ago. The functional results are great, but aesthetically I am not pleased - I was expecting a great improvement but no one notices it except if I show the before and after pictures. I think my surgeon could have advanced more than 8mm, and I discovered that there is a surgery technique to enlarge the mandible that my surgeon did not discuss with me https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnT7zEBJ-Rl/?utm_sourceig_web_copy_link I also heard in a conference held by Kasey Li that advancements under 1cm for sleep apnea have higher risk of relapse...

Would love to get outside opinions of other patients but also from other experts.
