Vline Surgery in South Korea
I recently had vline surgery in south korea and let me tell u, it was absolutely the right decision for me. I made the decision to have the surgery in south korea not in the united states not due to cost. Given the fact that flew 1st class to and from korea, and had to quarantine for 2 weeks while there, had to board my dog with a live in babysitter for a month, and the procedure actually requires you stay for 2 months post op, there is no way it was less expensive than if id done it domestically (it was 20k usd for the procedure alone, cumulative costs were closer to 40k). The reason i went to south korea is because the doctors domestically - all of them - despite their claims, simply lack the skill or correct equipment to really do this surgery. Their results are really so marginal i usually cant distinguish between before and afters. Even the best at bone work here arent properly equipped with the correct oscillating saws - most of them improvise with drills. They do everything through a single oral incision - i have 9 oral incisions. The results i got in korea i never couldve gotten at home for any price with any doctor. I actually think its wrong that domestically doctors pretend they are able to do this procedure when they of course no that they are not. I was fortunate to meet with 1 doctor, dr barry epstein, who told me what i already had discerned - that the techniques are totally different and to get the results i wanted, id have to go abroad. He really encouraged me to do it, and im so glad i did. I used docfinderkorea to help me - i couldnt have done it with out them. My results are incredible and its been less than a week. Ill attach my facial xrays since im uncomfortable showing my face on here.
Trust me that this procedure is really brutal and its expensive, if ur going to do it at all, do it with someone who is capable of giving the result u want. Not every doctor in south korea is safe or skilled. If u have surgery there i recommend researching the technique of a specific doctor and ensuring the arent operating out of a huge clinic. I went to a single doctor clinic owned and operated by a former head of facial countering at ID hospital. I had to wait a few months for him to open his new hospital, and i was his first patient in his new facility. He was so attentive to my concerns and my health he stayed overnight in the clinic with me and 2 nurses after surgery who checked on me every 30 minutes and took meticulous care of me. Not only would no US doctor be capable of providing me these results, no US doctor would be at my bedside within 2 seconds answering questions as trivial as what was in the IV bag at 2am upon my request.
I would go back in heartbeat. Amazing experience.
