Great Experience with Jaw Filler for Asymmetry
tldr/ Very skilled doctor, result was better than I had expected, top tier aesthetic eye and aptitude in obtaining the desired result. 0 complaints or points of improvement.
I had researched a solid amount about the aesthetic of the jaw angles and implants but less about filler in particular, so feel free take that into consideration.
One of my masseter muscles was more hypertrophied/ "larger" than the other and sat lower on my face. The larger one looked better, resulting in a taller ramus and wider, more pronounced jaw angle. (So using botox to fix the asymmetry was out of the question, despite making things "symmetrical", it would look worse. I wanted the smaller one to be bigger.)
I had tried chewing hard gum (ie mastic) on the smaller side, but it resulted in a more bloated/rounded look towards my cheeks, instead of a sharper point where the ramus met the mandible body, thus my conclusion was that the smaller masseter was a bit "higher set".
I wanted to replicate the look of my "better side" on the other. Dr. Steinbrech took his time to understand my concerns and worked with me to slightly lower, sharpen, and widen the "weaker side". This was my best-case outcome, however, I was pleasantly surprised that he was actually able to replicate the exact look (ie, the exact shape and curve) of my "good side", rather than a more generic improvement to the jaw angle. Thus, the improvement in symmetry was greater than expected.
As I mentioned previously, I am far from an expert on filler, so I can't comment as to the difficulty of being able to replicate the exact "curve"/angle/shape of one side of the jaw angle, but I was highly impressed as intuitively, it appeared unlikely/difficult.
All the "other factors" were also great. Price was very reasonable, staff was awesome, very knowledgeable and kind enough to talk with me for a long time, location is right next to a free parking garage, etc etc. 0 complaints, would certainly go back.
