21 Year Old Who Losted 2 Years of Her Life but Gained It Back After Implant-NY. Jamaica, NY
UPDATED FROM Carmel_Barbie
Sensitivity
WORTH IT$2,000
I have noticed that I get a lot of teeth sensitivity when it is really cold outside of the wind hits my mouth. The dentists I have been going to this far have told me its nothing to worry about. I also had nerve damage in the beginning so I don't know if this stems from that and not the implant. But I still enjoy my implant and thank god for it.

Sorry, I did not know this section existed. I actually been on the bbl section all this time and had no idea I could have wrote a review for a implant. Anyways, I had my left tooth knocked out by brother and the left one was left hanging by tissue. The hospital intially put a brace on the front right tooth to keep it in place but they were unable to put the right tooth in. So at the age of 19 I was walking around with a bruised up face and a missing front tooth. Not to mention every where I went ppl were asking me if they can the ambulance for me -_- yea my self esteem was shot. After a visit to my normal dentist he told me I needed a implant and suggested two doctors. One of them was Dr.Green who is located in Jamaica,NY (Queens). My mom had a procedure with him before so I went with him. This was the best decision I EVER made. I wish he was my regular dentist (I actually told him that before lol ). To make things short he gave me hope. The two years I was so depressed but every time I went to the doctor office they found ways to cheer me up. He took time to get to know me. I didnt feel like just a $ to him or his staff. They are extremely professional and checked on me everytime I had a procedure done ( my process was extremely long due to the trauma). Before the surgery I would not smile but now I`m happy to say I smile all the time. I`m so grateful for all Dr.Green has done. I literally cried while calling to thank them for everything after my regular dentist put in the crown. The placement of the implant was perfect. I have to remind myself every now and then that I have a implant. Sorry I could not give a detailed account of my journey. I`m now 23 so some years has passed. I`m now enjoying life :) Trust me you wont regret going to Dr.Green or even getting a implant with someone with experience. It was well worth the price. This experience was life changing for me I dont regret not one moment and I`m starting to tear up a bit. So I hope this helps anyone looking for guidance / advice.

What exactly did you have done? You replaced only 2 of your teeth? They look so good

Thanks so much. So basically I had only one implant. The left tooth is the implant. The right tooth had to be stablized before I got the left tooth done so they put a wire on it. Something like a brace, they did it at the hospital. Dr.Green preformed my implant though. So he basically made sure my mouth was stablized enough o hold the screw for the cap. So he did the surgery for the screw and I went to my general dentist for the cap (the actual tooth looking part).

Did you insurance help with the cost ?
November 5, 2015
Nope it didn't. Basically it was categorized as an cosmetic surgery so they did not cover it. But check with yours , all insurance are different.

Hey Hun, idk if my first response posted. My insurance did not cover anything bc they considered it a cosmetic procedure. But all insurance is different so check to see if yours would cover some of it. There are also medical loans like carecredit out there. I wish you luck
