My name is Pankaj, a 37-years-old man from Kerala....
My name is Pankaj, a 37-years-old man from Kerala. I had the hair loss problem since 21 years-old as I was affected by the Androgenic alopecia, which was figuring out in my late 20s when I consulted a Dermatologist for my ongoing hair loss problem. Heavy thinning of hair started appears on my top and front area of the scalp when I was just 22. I was much worried about my problem not just because of my losing a facial appeal, but I was extremely frustrated due to losing confidence in my career life. My father had the same problem and I received the genetic hair loss which was pre-destined in my genes. My father also went through the hair transplant procedure somewhere in New York, but he has not been a satisfied one as he received a wrong hairline design that made him dissatisfied about the procedure. The chances of failure a procedure also plays a factor for refraining you to take the procedure and in my case, you can say that this has done a role and that’s why I stayed away from the procedure till my 30s.
But, it has been said that “a wrong taste food doesn’t judge the dish nutrition” and it is true! The failure of a cosmetic procedure doesn’t judge the procedure efficacy as it is applicable with the hair transplant as well. Since the days of my father’s hair transplant procedure was not properly introspected with the Surgeon’s skills parameters and the Clinical standard as a pre-procedure checking measure task and hence gone failure. But, in my case, I didn’t want to make even a single mistake and done a lot of research work before going to take the procedure as a final decision.
I have gone through both the online and offline medium to know about the procedure, the results of the procedure on a number of patients and this time I was focused on my country because I already had an idea about the abroad. I have focused on many Clinics and Surgeons in India and to some extent the leading restoration sites, societies and network help me to find out a good hair transplant Doctor and Real self is one of them!
I have seen, read and heard about the Dr Suneet Soni’s work and meet some patients personally to know about the restoration result and have been quite satisfied. One of my friend’s uncle, who received the procedure with Dr Suneet 3 years back help me a lot about grasping the thing and finally, I have chosen Dr Suneet Soni for my hair transplant procedure.
The procedure I went through took about 8 hours and done with the FUT technique for my grade VI baldness as Dr Suneet Sir let me informed during the pre-procedure consultation. I have received around 4180 hair grafts that covered my top, front, and crown portion fully.
Now, I would like to tell you about my hair transplant procedure experience at Medispa in a short detail. The following steps were undertaken for my FUT procedure:
Step I: The procedure started with the local anaesthesia that is mandatory to make the procedure a smooth one without having any pain or discomfort. I was brought to the OT where Dr Suneet made the hairline design on my recipient bald area and it was quite comfortable and I was fully relaxed with this step.
Step II: They harvested my donor area from the back or sides of the scalp with a simple incision and I felt nothing as I already received the anaesthesia and what I felt it was a quite comfortable process. After taking the strip they sent them to the dissection room where a lot technicians around 11-12 were involved in the graft dissection process.
Step III: Meanwhile, they served me the lunch. I relaxed with a small break and one of technicians took me to other section of the dissection room to see the clinic setups and arrangement. There were many microscopes as well as the video-assisted microscope that helps the technicians for cutting the graft with efficacy. After asking with one of the technicians, he told that the higher magnifications reduce the damage rate and help in getting the more number of grafts for the implantation process. I saw that how a video-assisted microscope enlarged single grafts 20 times and the job of technicians were quite appreciable. One of the technicians shared his experience and told me that he is working in the same clinic since last 9 years.
Step IV: It was the planting step in which they implanted the grafts onto my recipient bald portion took about 3-4 hours. And, in this way, the procedure got completed.
The next day, I received my first head wash at Clinic by the Clinic staff and they also learned me about the further head wash process for next 2 weeks.
After a year of my Procedure
I am quite happy with my procedure as I received a head full of hair. And, my top, front and scalp area is now full of hair. I am amazed to get such a natural hairline design that is an undetectable and quite suitable to my facial profile. Dr Suneet made my expectations come true with such a 4180 hair grafts. Thank You, Dr Suneet Soni; you have really done a great job by making my procedure a success. I vote to Dr Suneet’s skills and dedication, which made a proud for being an Indian and for all Indian.
