Hello friends, I am Shashank from Tamilnadu. I have been suffering from Androgenic alopecia (Genetic Baldness) since my college days. That time I used to go for the consultation with many Dermatologist and Surgeon to know about the solution of my problem, but they all advised me to wait as it will be completely sort out by the hair transplant procedure ultimately and this age is not suitable to receive the procedure. Once you attain the maturity stage both in terms of your age as well as the state of your hair loss, i.e., 26 yr or after that age, you will be able to take the benefits of the procedure until then you can start to take the medications, i.e., Minoxidil, Finasteride, Etc. Over the years I have tried various oils, serums, and growth supplements but got minimal results. I knew that the hair transplant procedure was my only choice for a permanent solution and I'm so happy that I made the decision.
I decided from knowing my friend’s result of the procedure with Dr Suneet Soni of Medispa that I would get my Hair Transplant done in Jaipur at Medispa Centre. I would like to offer my thanks to this forum also who helped me a lot in choosing the best hair transplant Surgeon. I was quite sure about procedural comfort with a good result by Dr Suneet as I seen and read a lot of positive feedback by their patients not only in this forum, but also by meeting the patients personally, who already get it done with Dr Suneet Soni.
Meanwhile, I had a plan for my marriage and my father did advise me to do the thing as soon as possible because my Uncle has already scheduled some meetings with the relatives and known one! Of course, this planning was an initial one to make the thing with final possibility for the next year and I had a complete one year to decide and taking an action to get over my problem of baldness.
Next morning, I flew to Jaipur as the taking of appointment was already done by my Uncle in this regard and he just told to take a flight ticket and visit the Clinic.
My initial consultation with Dr Suneet Soni was in September 2016 at his Medispa Clinic.
I reached Medispa Clinic early in the morning. I sat at Clinic reception and fill the appointment form with the present details of my scalp status as well as a full address as a part of the formalities of the procedure. I was early for my appointment and Dr. Soni was finishing up with another patient. While I waited, I was able to relax and watch Dr Suneet’s video of the procedure, which he performed for some other patients. It was so nice and reassuring to finally be able to meet them in person!
At the time of the consultation, Dr Suneet Soni assessed my Scalp condition along with the remnant hairline and hair loss. Dr Soni decided and let me know about how my new hairline should look. Next came the points with the required number of grafts and the technique of the procedure. Dr Suneet Sir said that I had a large bald area with the blank front and top portion as far as, my donor area is concerned, thankfully I have been a good donor area from where they do the thing possible with the desired technique. Meanwhile, Dr Suneet Sir, let me know about the significance and worthiness of the particular technique and clarified that the FUT technique will be the best as it can give you a greater number of grafts. After pausing a moment he said that since I was in need of a dense look as I already mentioned in my consultation form, he replied that, it will be better if the combination of FUT+FUE will be performed. As there was a need of around 4100 grafts to offer a densely-packed result for such grade V baldness with covering the front and the top portion. I agreed with the advisable technique and he scheduled my procedure date after 9 days of my consultation.
I reached Clinic 1 day before and completed consent and medical release documents with the receptionist.
Before getting the procedure started, the last night I totally relaxed in my allotted room in the Clinic. And, the day of the procedure, the Clinic staff woke me up early in the morning at 6’O clock. After that, I set to go and moved to the procedure room. The three assistants helped me in changing the dress, then started the local anesthesia to make the procedure a completely painless. During this time Dr. Soni came in multiple times to check on me and make sure everything was going well which made me feel very comfortable. I was on the hair transplant chair enjoyed by listening music and procedure got half done meanwhile, I took a break and walked around the procedure room while the technicians separated the grafts using the higher magnification of microscopes along with the Video-assisted microscopes, which was so interesting to watch! Next Dr. Suneet Sir makes tiny slits in the recipient area for the grafts. Next, the technicians placed the grafts in the slits. I was pretty sleepy as the procedure was so much comfortable, so I slept on and off during this part and watched a movie on the wall TV together. Dr Soni has performed the FUE as well to fulfill the procedural need and it was a quite comfortable experience. I take a glass of orange juice and popcorn too and felt like the treatment of a beauty salon. Dr. Suneet Soni continued to check in during this time and the technicians made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The procedure itself took around 8 hours and another 1 hour for pre-op/post-op. After the procedure, Dr. Suneet went over post-op instructions, gave me some Antibiotics to heal up fast.
Dr Suneet Soni and his technicians did a wonderful job, they have a great team. All in all, the procedure was a lot easier, painless, and quite comfortable.
After a year of my procedure, now I am experiencing the result of a densely-packed frontal & the top of the scalp. Thank You Suneet Sir for this wonderful job.
