So my date is set to July 21st 2014 and Im super excited!!! I have waited FOREVER for this dream to become a reality!! No one in my family wants me to do this, they are begging me not to. I am always doing things for others and guess what.... NOW IT IS MY TIME! I am taking away something unhealthy and getting to start over.

Ok BIG DAY TOMORROW!!
This is going to be a long night!! Lol Im nervous one minute and happy the next. Im ready just to get it over with. Im 3 1/2 hrs away from home and hope to make it home tomorrow right after surgery. I have to be there at 9 surgery is at 10. I did not eat too light like I was suppose to today so hope I dont regret that later lol im putting a patch on before bed tonight for nausea and Im taking Valium tonight to help with sleep and tomorrow to help with surgery. I take the patch off in 3 days and was told to wash my hands before n after handling the patch bc meds get on ur hands and if u rub ur eyes ur pupils would dilate. The valium is to keep me calm and relaxed. I have my daughters pillow pet to cover my stomach with the seat belt and my button down dress like the dr told me to wear. I will update after tomorrow :-)

Well I am not doing well. After surgery I developed cellulitis and went to ER after running fever days after antibiotics wasnt working. Thru cat scan of my ab by God's grace they seen blood clots in the bottom of my lungs. So after another ct of my body they found many blood clots in the top and bottom of both lungs as well as in my left leg. This came from surgery. Im on blood thinners for 6 to 9 months and have to do labs every week. I was just discharged last Friday from hospital. Right now the cellulitis which is a skin infection is on my lower stomach at the incision and in my belly button. My incision is opening and I have 3 holes in my stomach! It looks horrible!! Im going to wound care today again to find out what is going on. I went to them wed with one hole and the next day I had 2 more. Im just so ready to heal and put all this behind me!!

Oh man, so sorry to hear that! Prayers and healing thoughts coming your way! I hope your family is being loving and supportive since they weren't on board to begin with. Such a blessing that the blood clots were found though!

Thanks! Yes my family as well as my church family has been super supportive. And yes God is good he spared my life. The drs and nurses were in a state of shock after finding those clots that way. They said u are lucky I said it is not luck that saved me it was God :-) it just showed the very tip of my lungs.
