I have my first consultation July 25th. I am still undecided on size and silicone vs Saline.I want to achieve a Full C to Small D while still looking very natural. I would rather get the comment" wow, nice boobs" ,than" wow, look at those huge boobs"any day.I have been told silicone is my best choice because saline would ripple and also feel and look hard on my small frame. Any advice? My ribcage is 27 inches and the fullest part of my breast measures 30 inches without a bra,not sure what cup, size that converts to.

If you are looking for a natural big look, I suggest silicone. It tends to feel more natural and jiggle more. I asked my doctor for a full D, small DD, and he told me that I would most likely be a full C, small DD. I was just sized at Nordstrom at a 30DDD or a 32DD. I am more than happy with my results, and totally wouldn't change a thing. I am looking forward to keeping up with your journey!

Also. To size yourself. Take the measurement of your ribcage, right under your breasts, then take the measurement over your breast. Every inch difference is a cup size. For example. Someone who has a 30 inch ribcage and a 32inch bust would wear a B, because there is a 2 inch Difference.
1-A, 2-B, 3-C, 4-D, 5-DD, 6-DDD and so forth. Hope that helps

Ugh,so frustrated! So I went to Hooters today to eat and do a little "shopping" ,Lol.One of the girls I spoke to,did indeed have a very natural set of implants, but she was so rude about silicone, she said" I have saline,I wouldn't get silicone because your boobs will be all hard and gross with no squishy, and I'm in the medical field and there is no way I'd put that in my body". So,is she right? Should I go with saline? I don't want ugly hard grapefruit boobs! :( HELP PLEASE!

She's definitely NOT right. My boobs bounce, jiggle, and squish just fine. My BF absolutely loves them. Of course, everyone has their own preferences. One thing you can (and should) ask your PS if you can feel a silicone implant vs a saline implant. feeling the difference between the two was what sold me on my decision. Saline can be a safer and cheaper option, but silicone also has its advantages. Definitely express to your PS that you want to avoid the round stiff look. Saline implants can be over filled and that produces the high, round, hard fake look. Silicone can also produce the same look, so by avoiding one or the other doesn't mean you'll avoid "that look". My only advice is to have lots of wish pictures to show your doctor and express all your concerns and desires. No question or comment is a wrong one. You're paying BIG money for this and it's YOUR body, no one else's. So don't let anyone bully or discourage you into picking a style or size that you don't actually want. :)

I am pretty much sold on silicone, after feeling and looking at saline and silicone both in my PS office. My BF did not like the saline at all, after feeling the" ridge ripple" he quickly handed it back to my PS and said" No!" Lol. I have a friend who researches everything thoroughly before making her decisions and she chose silicone also. My mom has had her silicone implants for over 30 years with no problem at all,and people still don't believe they are implants,Lol.

Just FYI, both Silicone and Saline are capable of rippling. I am like your friend, and spent 4 months researching before I made a surgery date. I love my implants and wouldn't change them for the word BUT mine do have rippling. I'm only two months post op too. You cannot see the ripples and I'm the only one that can feel them. Even my BF can't tell at all. He was the same as yours and basically threw the saline implant back with a firm no thanks. :) I just want you to be aware that they ripple because my ps didn't let me know that there is a chance of rippling for everyone and I freaked out when I first noticed it. But like I said. I'm the only one that can tell and even then it's only underneath my incision and when I am bending over.

Things went very well today. From the time I entered the office I felt very relaxed and confident that I would receive the attention I deserve. The PS was extremely attentive, answering all my questions and providing lots of info. I was actually measured this time. Very very HAPPY, I've found my PS!

I definitely recommend getting more than one opinion when choosing a PS. I am so glad I went for a second opinion, as I now feel much more confident. My PS suggested 450cc HP by Mentor. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. I was examined, and measured before any suggestions were made. She answered all my questions and gave honest answers and opinions, she didn't just say yes to any size implants, she told me what would fit my body and what wouldn't.
Here are 21 important questions to ask during your doctor consults. Saline versus silicone can be a tough decision but it becomes very personal. Some women go with saline as it's less expensive and easy to detect a leak. Other women prefer the feel of silicone. Keep us posted on your research!
