Okay so I went in for my first consultation...

Okay so I went in for my first consultation yesterday! How excited I was?! Going in the office to start paperwork was easy going. The secretary was absolutely WONDERFUL! I was writing and listening to the doctor talk to some people whom dropped by to say hello to him. He was very cordial! I was impressed with his mannerism towards them when they were there as well as when they left. He continued to talk to his secretary about his 2 company's visits from friends and you can tell they have a great relationship.

My mind: perfect! He has a great connection with his staff and he's nice.

So, done with paperwork and it's time to speak with him in his office.

My mind: what's that smell??!! Is that smoke?!!! Yep! A cigar! I can't stand smoke. To each his own, but I can't handle how strong the smell was in the office!! I stomach it anyway.

So, he asks me to sit close to him so he can ask me some questions.

My mind: ugh, okaaay... I was trying to stay away from the desk.

So, we start chatting. He asks where I work and he tells me a story of a recent experience he's had with a purchase from my company. It's a complaint.

My mind: okay I don't normally work on my day off :/

So, at the end of his story, he burst out into a loud, obnoxious, creepiest laugh!!! Then stops and starts talking again as if this laugh didn't happen.

My mind: what was soooo funny all of a sudden and why so loud and scary?! All I could give was a plastered on smile.

This laugh happened 3 times too many!! They kept scaring me because from the conversation, you don't know it's about to happen!!

Other thing and most importantly, his eye kept leaking like he was crying. He kept wiping his drippy eye!! It got to the point that one time it was about to drop on the paper he was writing on. You could tell that he couldn't feel it!! It was a wet mess! He took his big hands and was feeling around his face trying to wipe it only from his cheek. That scared me away for sure!

My mind: I don't if this man has an infection in his eye to make it keep dribbling or if his age is just setting in. Either way, I don't wanna risk that stuff touching me during surgery when my body is most vulnerable.
